Billy Ray Cyrus may not have not have been picked up by an alien spaceship just yet but he seems to be one step closer to E.T. Billy Ray took to his Twitter to share this picture of what he claims to be his first UFO sighting;
“O.K. My first UFO sighting. Looks like 5 or 6 disk-like shapes hovering. Special moment 4 Dad.”
We learned in September 2010 that aliens have been a long time passion for Billy Ray. He was supposed to start production on a show with his son Trace called UFO: Unbelievably Freakin’ Obvious. I haven’t been able to find out any other information about the show or if it is getting an air date.

Several country acts will help raise money to fight muscular distrophy at the telethon on Sunday. Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum and Martina McBride all recorded their appearances at the Grand Ole Opry back on June 7. They’ll be inserted into the six-hour telethon.
Rucker appears in hour two. He sings a solo and also does a duet with MDA Goodwill Ambassador Abbey Umali. Lady Antebellum are in hour three. Jimmy Webb is in hour four. Hour five includes Martina McBride plus winners of the iHeart radio talent contest, Brokedown Cadillac.
The final hour of the telethon includes a performance from Billy Ray Cyrus. Of course, the one person who is missing from the telethon is Jerry Lewis.

Last night Piers Morgan sat down with Billy Ray Cyrus to talk about his new music, his family and more. Earlier this year Cyrus gave a controversial interview to GQ about the trials and tribulations of fame. By speaking his true feelings on how fame negatively affected his family, in particular Miley, he received subsequent backlash in both his personal and professional life.
Cyrus expressed his regret in giving the statements saying,
“I made a big mistake even giving that interview. It was the darkest time of my life. Dark. It was dark. Turbulent, and that would have been a real good time for me to probably go and sit by the fire alone.”
What do you think? Was Billy Ray wrong to express how he felt fame had affected his family in an interview?
