The list consists of “a ranking of where power and influence resides in the music business and the industries that intersect with it.” The lists has companies, music execs, and artists. “The artists featured are all actively involved in making impactful business decisions for their careers.”

Kellie Pickler- 100 Proof

Kellie Pickler may have first won hearts as a finalist on season five of “American Idol” but she’s gone on to a well-earned fanbase on the strength of country hits like “Red High Heels” and “Best Days Of Your Life.” In 2012, however, the North Carolina native is upping the ante with a brand new album, “100 Proof,” her third.

On January 23rd at 4pm ET — just one day before the record comes out, she’ll be here at Billboard.com on for a live Q&A. Kellie will be answering questions from fans live on camera, so tweet what you want to know to @Billboard using hashtag #bbPickler.
“100 Proof,” Pickler’s third studio effort, is the follow up to 2008′s “Kellie Pickler,” which hit No. 1 on the Country Albums chart, just as its predecessor “Small Town Girl” did in late 2006. “100 Proof” has already garnered some of the strongest reviews of Pickler’s career, as the songs on the disc invoke memories of Tammy, Loretta, and Barbara. Kellie’s writing has grown by leaps and bounds, as well. Tracks like “Mother’s Day” and “The Letter (To Daddy)” sparkle with the same kind of emotional honesty that flows from another legendary female’s heart – Dolly Parton.

Billboard.com is looking forward to connecting you with Kellie on Monday, January 23rd. Tweet your questions beginning now and then come back on Monday to watch all of the action.

Did you get an ipod for Christmas?  If you did I bet you rushed to your computer to load it with some of your favorite country tunes — Jason Aldean has a word for you: thanks. He was one of the big beneficiaries of the download boom during the holiday season. Billboard reports his tune, “Dirt Road Anthem” got a boost from holiday sales. He moved up from number 49 to 42 — with sales of 67,000 units. For those whose digital players didn’t come with a calculator — or if you’re just not that quick with the math — that’s a boost of 146 percent from the week before.
