Carrie Underwood chatted with Big D and Bubba about the Nashville flood and wedding. This is probably the most awkward interview of all time…something was way off….I don’t think Carrie was getting Big D & Bubba’s jokes…

Big D and Bubba offer Carrie Underwood an apology and some flowers. In a statement made on Big D and Bubba’s Facebook page:
You are right, “underwater” wasn’t appropriate in today’s interview…but I guess the Carrie fans like yourself that listened to the interview online, that don’t KNOW us, our history, and are bashing us…also haven’t dealt with this flood, and lived through it like we have.
What some saw as insensitive, was a poor attempt, and bringing levity to a bad situation. Apparently, it’s easy to get de-sensitized when it’s “YOU”, your family, and friends that are affected.
We live in Nashville, and in the past week, in addition to the recovery efforts, we have put in countless hours to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the relief effort for friends, family, and co-workers that lost everything…as well as continuing the effort to help gather food & supplies for those who need it most.
Our apologies to ANY Carrie fan that thought our interview was not appropriate. It’s no excuse, but we wanted you to understand where our hearts were.
We’re going back to helping pull up carpets, cleaning mud & debris, & praying for quick drying. Thanks for the Prayers, and Thanks for at least letting us know that you are upset. We like the feedback.
