Brad Paisley Gives Thanks To Dick Clark For The Respect

Dick Clark is the reason country music gets respect at the American Music Awards. That’s how Brad Paisley sees it. Brad says “it is a real honor that they, in the middle of show with some real major superstars, would take the time to sort of acknowledge little ole country music. But they do. They show us a lot of respect.” He says it “goes back to Dick Clark with the ACMs,” which, like the AMAs, Dick also produces.

Brad says Dick “always has a vested interest in country music. He always had a soft place in his heart for it.”

The Award Shows are Not Over Yet! Up Next, the AMA’s

Next up, after the CMAs, it’s the American Music Awards. The acts are being nailed down and so far, they include Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Kid Rock, among others, like Katy Perry, Rihanna, Justin Bieber and a reunion of the Backstreet Boys and New Kids On The Block.

The AMAs are Sunday, November 21. They’ll air on ABC. Three hours before the awards show starts, ABC.com will present a live red carpet show. Danny Gokey and Jennette McCurdy are among those doing red-carpet interviews for the pre-show. By the way, voting for the AMAs still is going on at www.amavote.com.
