Last night Steven Tyler helped bid farewell to season 24 of “American Idol” with the debut performance of his new country tune, “Love Is Your Name” before a hit mash-up of “Piece of My Heart” and “Walk this Way” with runner-up Jax.
What do you think of Steven Tyler’s new country song??
“American Idol” wrapped it’s 14th season last night with epic performances. Judge Keith Urban took part in the action performing “Even the Stars Fall for You” off his album ‘Fuse.’ Wife Nicole Kidman was on hand to get her groove on from the audience as she watched.
Later in the show, Keith joined fellow Judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr for their rendition of “Diamond” and “Locked Out of Heaven.”
Eventually (like 2 hours later) winner Nick Fradiani was crowed American Idol…making Tennessean Clark Beckham the runner up.
Fox announced this week it is pulling the plug on American Idol after the 15th season, giving the show one more year to bid farewell to the fans. Producers say the final season will pay tribute to seasons passed.
Scotty McCreery says “American Idol” was “a dominant force in our pop culture for almost a decade and a half, but all good things must come to an end.” The next season of “American Idol” will be its last.
Kellie Pickler says “Idol” helped her realize her dreams as a country singer and she’s sure the final season will be a memorable one.
Original co-host Brian Dunkleman had the best reaction ever when he tweeted, “I knew American Idol would never last without me CANCELLED.”
The good news- Keith Urban, Harry Connick Jr., and Jennifer Lopez will all return to Fox’s ‘American Idol’ next year as judges. The bad news- Fox is pulling the plug after the 15th season, giving the show one more year to bid farewell to the fans. Producers say the final season will pay tribute to seasons passed.
What’s really sad, is the show went through such a dry spell when they played musical judges. It’s sad that it took Fox this long to find judges with the chemistry Keith, Jennifer and Harry have. Will you be sad to see Idol go?
