Sugarland and Tim McGraw on Oprah Today!

Oprah Winfrey is calling today’s show a “holiday duet extravaganza.” She’s created duets with musicians who never have performed together. Sugarland will be singing with Jennifer Hudson. And, Tim McGraw will perform with Alicia Keys. Make sure to set those DVR’s this should be a fun and interesting show full of beautiful music.

Lady Antebellum Loves Rap! Well, one third of them anyway!

Looks like some people are going to be star struck when they get to the Grammys next month. 

Lady Antebellum is talking Grammys:

When Hillary heard that they received two nominations she screamed, “Oh my gosh! I might get to meet Beyonce!”.

Dave can’t believe he’ll be in a room with people like Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Kanye West. But the person he really wants to meet is rapper T.I. Both Dave and T.I. are from Atlanta, and he says he’d love to tell T.I. that he represents his hometown well. Lady A are up for best new artist and best country performance by a duo or group.

I was trying to come up with my own list of people that I would want to meet if I got to go to the Grammys.  Maybe I am limiting myself too much or maybe I am just a country girl at heart.  I don’t need the Grammys.  All I need is the CMA’s each year.  Everyone I would ever want to meet would be under that roof.

People’s Choice Awards on Tonight!

Don’t forget to watch the People’s Choice Awards tonight.  It starts in 6 minutes.  Some of our favorite country artists are up for awards tonight:

  • Favorite Male Singer – Brad Paisley or Kenny Chesney (up against Chris Brown)
  • Favorite Female Singer – Carrie Underwood (up against Alicia Keys and Rihanna)
  • Favorite Group – Rascal Flatts (up against Coldplay and Maroon 5)
  • Favorite Country Song – “Last Name” by Carrie Underwood, “Love Story” by Taylor Swift, “Take Me There” by Rascal Flatts

I love that we have two men in the favorite male category tonight.  Carrie Underwood has some stiff competition with Rihanna but I think she can pull it out.  And no doubt I am pulling for Rascal Flatts for both favorite group and favorite country song.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS UPDATE:

Favorite Star under 35 is Carrie Underwood!  That’s a new award this year. Congrats girl. 
She is performing right now!  Turn on your TV!  Don’t miss it!  See looks amazing!  I don’t care what you have to say about Carrie on a personal level – that girl can sing.
