Buddy Jewell has been invited to be an Ambassador of Goodwill for World Orphans Day 2009. He will join fellow ambassadors Stella Parton and Adam Gregory at the The People’s Church East Lawn, near the corner of Highway 96 and Mack Hatcher Parkway in Franklin, Tennessee, 4:00 p.m. CST on Monday, November 9, 2009 for a candlelight vigil to raise awareness of World Orphans Day and support fundraising efforts through The Stars Foundation.

Adam Gregory will lead students and youth groups in a mile walk starting at the Franklin Family YMCA, 501 S Royal Oaks Blvd, at 4:00 that concludes at The People’s Church for the Candlelight Vigil and festivities. The event is free and open to the public. The event is initiated by The Stars Foundation’s Students 4 World Orphans.

According to UNICEF, every two seconds, a child somewhere in the world is orphaned. The pandemic of homeless and orphaned children is growing at an astonishing rate, leaving 145 million children orphaned or displaced globally. Now, there is a new effort underway to bring more awareness and recognition to the plight of orphans and displaced children around the world through World Orphans Day, observed on the second Monday in November.

Learn how you can get involved and make a difference by visiting the World Orphans Day website at www.worldorphansday.com.

Adam Gregory Sits Down with CMTT at CRS

We caught up with Adam Gregory during CRS week and were even more impressed with who he is as an artist than when we had our first encounter with him at the Tin Roof a few months back.

Adam performed at the Digital Rodeo showcase Friday night and blew my mind with his rendetion of Justin Timerlake’s song “What Goes Around Comes Around”.  I can’t wait for you to see it.  We have the performace on tape and are working on getting it online for you very soon.

Adam also took time from his hectic schedule of interviews and performances on Friday to help the Operation Troop Aid begin their assembly of 500 care packages containing phone cards, MP3s, beef jerky, trail mix, hand wipes, hand sanitizer, cookies, candy, granola bars, toiletry items and thank you letters to U.S. troops deployed overseas.

Take a listen and get to know Adam Gregory.  CMTT predicts he is sticking around Nashville for a very long time.
