Aaron Tippin to Help Vetrans Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Aaron Tippin, will perform at two Veteran appreciation events in the month of February. The first one will be the Salem Civic Center in Salem, VA as part of the Department of Veterans Affairs Salem VA Medical Center 2012 National Salute to Veterans on Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m. The second will be on Monday, February, 13th at 7:30 p.m. at the largest stage west of Broadway, the (old MGM) the Grand Theatre at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV.

These concerts are a part of the annual weeklong National Salute to Veterans celebration, specifically connected to Valentine’s Day, and are an ideal opportunity for the community to express its respect and appreciation for all Veterans who have served and protected our great Nation.

Tippin has charted more than 30 hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs including several Number Ones such as: “There Ain’t Nothin’ Wrong with the Radio,” “That’s as Close as I’ll Get to Loving You,” and “Kiss This.” Following September 11, 2001, he released the political composition “Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly,” which became a theme for soldiers fighting overseas. The song was voted one of the country’s greatest patriotic songs by AOL.

Tickets for the Salem, VA show are available at the Salem Civic Center. Veterans, active military, and their families may obtain their FREE tickets at the Salem Civic Center Box Office (limit 10 tickets per person), Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10am-6pm and Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Tickets for the general public are available at the Salem Civic Center. Call 775-326-5714 for tickets for the Reno, NV show held at the Grand Sierra Resort where Veterans, active military, and their families can receive their complimentary tickets.

Aaron Tippin Returns From His 10th Trip Overseas

Aaron Tippin returned to his home in Tennessee after spending Thanksgiving in Afghanistan, as part of a 10-day tour there. He traveled with Stars for Stripes, a nonprofit organization.

“Once again, our guys and gals have demonstrated that they are the best and most professional warriors on the face of the planet!”

For the past 10 years Aaron has traveled overseas with the Stars For Stripes organization. Stars For Stripes is dedicated to providing quality celebrity entertainment to internationally deployed U.S. military forces.

After his performance at Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak, Afghanistan, country music star Aaron Tippin performs push-ups as members of the 2nd Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment, apply the honorary spurs to his boots. A tradition within the Army Cavalry, spurs are given to soldiers within the unit who have been to combat.

Aaron Tippon to Perform for Troops over Thanksgiving

Aaron Tippin will not be carving the turkey with his wife, Thea and their two boys, Ted and Tom this Thanksgiving nor has he for the past 10 years. Tippin has been in Iraq and Afghanistan singing for our troops who are away from their families during the holidays.

Aaron Tippin Causes a Traffic Jam in Virginia

Saturday July 16th, 2011 Aaron Tippin performed live at the Fauquier Country Fair in Warrenton, VA. There were so many people at the concert that there were no parking spaces left. The venue said that this was their biggest crowd ever. This was the first time Aaron had performed at the Fauquier Country Fair and they came out in record number to see this veteran singer rock the stage in a “Country Kinda Way.”

“Man, what an unbelievable crowd, don’t you just love the fair it’s like Christmas in July” Tippin says.

Local radio DJ in Fauquier Country, Jessica Cash from WFLS 93.3 FM said, “I have been in radio for a long time and I have had the privilege of interviewing and seeing Aaron Tippin live several times and he is one of the most unbelievable, loveable, and unique artist ever. He loves his fans so much he signs autographs after ever show. The Fauquier Fair has been going on for 61 years and this year it was the biggest crowd.”
