Vinny Hickerson Not the “The Biggest Loser” but Still Leaves a Winner! – Photo of the Day

Big Vinny

Big Vinny Hickerson of the Trailer Choir may not have won “The Biggest Loser,” but he’s a winner in other ways, like with his health and his love life. His proposal to longtime girlfriend, Lori Diaz, was part of Tuesday’s show. But now that he’s not in the top-three, he’s continuing his losing ways at home. Vinny is working with a trainer, hoping to win the at-home prize of $100,000. The season finale is Tuesday on NBC.

Trailer Choir’s Not-so-Big Vinny is Engaged!

Vinny Hickerson and Lori Diaz

Trailer Choir‘s Big Vinny isn’t so BIG anymore thanks to The Biggest Loser. According to People.com, Vinny Hickerson proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Lori Diaz during a date at the Grand Ole Opry. The date was filmed for the hit show, and will air tonight on The Biggest Loser.

“I wanted to take her there because it’s a place where so many dreams have come true, right there on that stage,” Hickerson tells PEOPLE exclusively. “My biggest dream is to be a great husband and a great father, and fall in love.”

After popping the question, the couple were serenaded by Thompson Square.

“I couldn’t believe they were there just for us, in this huge, amazing place,” says Diaz.

Vinny, who started out a whopping 426 pounds, now weights 314 pounds. You can see his progress and proposal tonight on The Biggest Loser.

A Biggest Loser Update from Vinny of Trailer Choir

BiG Vinny

Winning a challenge provided Trailer Choir’s Big Vinny Hickerson an unneeded three-pound advantage on last week’s Biggest Loser.

“I still would have beat everybody anyway with my 11 pounds,” he says. Tuesday’s episode (11/29) is “Makeover Week,” and Vinny says his entertainment industry background works in his favor. “We get the red carpet treatment,” he explains. “I’m not as distracted by that or at risk for not working as hard because I’ve done that stuff before. So that’s a little bit of an advantage. I wasn’t caught off-guard.”

Only three episodes remain, including the Dec. 13 live finale.

Biggest Loser Update: Trailer Choir’s Big Vinny Hickerson Isn’t So Big Anymore

Trailer Choir’s Big Vinny Hickerson continued his losing ways to survive another week on the Biggest Loser.

“We’re down to the final six,” he says. “It’s starting to hit us how much we’ve changed. We’ve really saved our lives.”

Hickerson calls this week’s challenge “brutal” and attributes the pain to the Jacob’s Ladder machine, which he calls “one of the hardest in the gym.”

He adds, “It’s also Thanksgiving week, so we get to have dinner with the trainers. You might see a Big Vinny original song in there, too. You never know how they’re going to edit each show, but so far they’ve made me look like a rock star, so it’s all been good.”

Tune in Tuesday at 8pm ET on NBC-TV.

Vinny’s Biggest Loser Update

Trailer Choir’s Big Vinny Hickerson lost another 10 pounds on last week’s Biggest Loser as contestant Joe Mitchell went home.

It was good in a way because Joe was a bit of a gamer, but also bad because I like Joe,” Vinny says. “He’s from Tennessee, and we connected on that level. We were actually at the same audition table way back in Nashville.”

This week’s show (11/15) features Olympic skater Apollo Ohno running a mile with the contestants.

“He was very inspirational and emphasized that it’s not how you start, but how you finish. So I sprinted the last 130 yards with him.”
