Trace Adkins to Bring ‘Songs & Stories’ to the Ryman

Trace Adkins

Trace Adkins has added Ryman Auditorium to the list of theaters he will visit on his recently announced Songs & Stories Tour. On May 18th, Trace will host a “homecoming” of sorts at the historic venue, as he plays in Nashville, the city he’s called home for the past twenty years as a Country hitmaker.

Though a veteran performer who has graced the Ryman stage during Grand Ole Opry performances and special events in the past, this upcoming date will be the first time Adkins has performed a full-band performance at the venue. As with all the shows on the Songs & Stories Tour, intimate performances will incorporate stories, both humorous and meaningful, that pay homage to Adkins’ working-man roots and rich musical heritage.

Tickets for The Ryman performance go onsale to fan club members on Monday, 1/30 and to the public on Friday, 2/3. A full list of dates and ticket info is below.

Inspiration for the Songs & Stories Tour. came as Trace released his 10th studio album, Proud To Be Here, last summer with a CMT Invitation Only special. The special featured new hits “Just Fishin’” and “Million Dollar View,” a Q&A session and the most-loved songs from Adkins’ twenty year career. The taping was so fun for Trace and his guests that he began laying plans for a tour.

“The point of this Tour is to get together and share meaningful songs, stories and some laughs ‘around the campfire’ – it’s the Country music tradition. The Ryman Auditorium also plays a very important role in the tradition of this genre, so it’s fitting that we would play this stage on this particular tour.”

Fans can share their own stories, questions and the songs that have inspired or shaped their lives on the Songs & Stories page at www.traceadkins.com.

The taping was so fun for Trace and his guests that he began laying plans for a tour.

“I’ve had many narrow escapes and blessings in my life. The right song at the right time has been my saving grace and that’s something I have in common with the audience. Sharing meaningful songs, stories and some laughs ‘around the campfire’ is the Country music tradition and I’m looking forward to it.”

Fans can share their own stories, questions and the songs that have inspired or shaped their lives on the Songs & Stories page at www.traceadkins.com.

From humble beginnings as a small-town Louisiana roughneck, to a Country super star with a twenty year career of hits, to his recent roles as outspoken author and actor, Adkins’ life parallels the songs he sings. His albums showcase a range of earnest tributes and party anthems with humor and depth – the Songs & Stories Tour promises to offer the same.

Trace Adkins- NRA Country’s Featured Artist

Trace adkins, NRA Country

Trace Adkins is NRA Country’s featured artist. It’s important to Trace to keep hunting alive and well in the USA.

“I grew up in the Sportsman’s Paradise – Louisiana, so I guess it isn’t a surprise that the great outdoors has always been a big part of my life. All my favorite memories involve the outdoors – whether it was playing outside as a kid, playing football in college, horsing around with my kids, or going hunting. I support NRA Country because they share my love of the outdoors and my wish to safeguard America’s hunting heritage. I am Trace Adkins and I am NRA Country.”

Trace will be hitting the road in 2012, visiting several festivals before taking to the high seas with Blake Shelton for the cruise. Get more information at TraceAdkins.com.

Tune in for a A Countryfied New Year’s Eve – DVR Alert

New Years Eve

It’s a New Year’s Eve party from New York, all right — with a bit of a twang.

Fox will air a year-end bash with the likes of Toby Keith and Joe Nichols as the musical headliners — rather than being the sidemen for the more pop-oriented shows on other networks tonight. “American Country New Year’s Eve Live” will be hosted by comedian Rodney Carrington and “Pawn Stars” Rick Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell. The show will run 90 minutes — wrapping around the Times Square ball drop at midnight — and will also feature inserts from Las Vegas.

Another Fox show will also feature country stars as the clock winds down toward 2012. On Fox News Channel, Trace Adkins and Big and Rich will be on the bill.
