Wisconsin Country Thunder Line-Up Announced

Dwight Yoakam, Aaron Lewis, Easton Corbin, Sara Jean Kelley, The Farm, The MyClymonts, The Roys, Casey James, and Thomas Rhett added to festival line-up of Wisconsin based Country Thunder music festival.

When Country Thunder rolls around on July 19-22, it will mark the 20th anniversary of the premiere camping, music and entertainment festival, and now … the announcement of the newest campground, Miller Camping. The newly created camping area, will be available, starting today, online at www.countrythunder.com for $150 or you can call (866) 802-6418 for more information.

For only $120 (price good until March 30, 2012) you can purchase a 4-day pass gaining access to the entire weekend of music and entertainment! For the total festival experience, a campsite may be purchased, with prices beginning as low as $100 for the entire weekend.
Don’t forget you can still get your tickets and pay for them through EZ Pay until April 19 by making three easy monthly installments. Single tickets will be available starting April 1. Tickets, camping, and amenity add-ons can all be purchased online or by phone at (866) 802-6418.

It’s sort of musical chairs on Billboard’s musical charts this week. Last week’s number-two is now number-one on the country songs chart. It’s Luke Bryan singing “I Don’t Want This Night to End.” Last week’s number-three is now number-two. It’s “You” from Chris Young. And, last week’s number-one drops to number-three. It’s Eric Church with a “Drink in My Hand.”

“Clancy’s Tavern” from Toby Keith now is number-one on Billboard’s country albums chart. “Own the Night” from Lady Antebellum is in second. And Luke Bryan’s “Tailgates and Tanlines” is in third.

Things are shaking on Billboard’s country songs chart. Nothing in the top three is where it was last week. This week, Eric Church’s “Drink in My Hand” is number one. It was number three last week. Luke Bryan’s single, “I Don’t Want This Night to End” was in fourth last week and is second now. Chris Young’s “You” moves from fifth to third.

Things are a little more stable on Billboard’s country albums chart. Last week’s number one is this week’s number one. It’s “Own the Night” by Lady Antebellem. The second and third-place albums switch places. Luke Bryan’s “Tailgates and Tanlines” is in second while “Clancy’s Tavern” from Toby Keith is in third this week.

Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean Ring in the New Year Among Top-Earning Concert Tours

Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and Toby Keith are ringing in the new year as part of Billboard’s list of Top 25 Tours of 2011.

Taylor’s “Speak Now” tour took the No.5 spot, grossing $97,368,416. She sold out an impressive 87 of her 89 tour dates and played to 1,356,720 fans.
Kenny follows right behind Taylor at No.6. His “Goin’ Coastal” tour played to 1,160,132 fans and grossed $84,576,917.

Also included in the list is Jason’s “My Kinda Party” tour at No.24 with $27,768,963 in ticket sales and Toby’s “Locked & Loaded” tour at No.25 with $27,313,132 i

U2 ‘s “360 Tour” tops the list with $293,281,487 in ticket sales.

Tune in for a A Countryfied New Year’s Eve – DVR Alert

It’s a New Year’s Eve party from New York, all right — with a bit of a twang.

Fox will air a year-end bash with the likes of Toby Keith and Joe Nichols as the musical headliners — rather than being the sidemen for the more pop-oriented shows on other networks tonight. “American Country New Year’s Eve Live” will be hosted by comedian Rodney Carrington and “Pawn Stars” Rick Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell. The show will run 90 minutes — wrapping around the Times Square ball drop at midnight — and will also feature inserts from Las Vegas.

Another Fox show will also feature country stars as the clock winds down toward 2012. On Fox News Channel, Trace Adkins and Big and Rich will be on the bill.
