New Music From Terri Clark

Terri Clark will release Roots and Wings, a 10-song collection she produced, July 26th digitally with a physical release following September 13th.

“I chose the album’s title after much deliberation about naming it after one of the song titles,” Clark notes. “The past year and a half was full of bitter and sweet and while it was tough, I feel it’s times like that when our minds grow the most so it definitely inspired me to write many of these songs.”

Clark co-wrote nine of the 10 tracks on Roots and Wings, hooking up with songwriting all-stars like Kristen Hall (formerly of Sugarland), Tia Sillers, Tom Shapiro, Jim Collins and Jim Rushing. Recorded at studios in Nashville and Toronto, session musician greats include Kenny Greenberg, Stuart Duncan, Andrea Zonn, Glen Worff, Bryan Sutton and Dan Dugmore among others. Backing vocal guests include Alison Krauss, Sonya Isaacs and Kristen Hall.

Long a trailblazer, Clark remains the only successful female ‘hat act’ in country music. She’s celebrated 11 Top 10 hits — including four in the No. 1 spot, is the only female Canadian member of the Grand Ole Opry, has won the fan-voted Canadian Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year Award an unprecedented eight times (more than Shania Twain or k.d. lang), won two Juno Awards and has several CMA, ACM and Billboard nominations to her credit.

Roots and Wings track listing:

Wrecking Ball (Terri Clark, Tia Sillers, Victoria Banks)
Breakin’ Up Thing (Terri Clark, Kristen Hall)

Top Tweets of the Week – Week of March 27th

Dierks Bentley's photo: hmmmmm....
10. @DierksBentley has been to many venues with no problems, but just recently he had a little trouble finding which way to go.  He simply said “hmmmmm…”

9. Preston Brust of the @LocashCowboys might have gotten crazy in Vegas, but he didn’t get married last I checked! “dont worry, im not gettin married in VEGAS this week…unless @britneyspears wants to : )” “ummm, might change my mind if @kimkardashian wants to hit the little chapel in VEGAS! -pb”

8. Twitter is the place to e when it comes to finding out about new music.  @KelliePickler is back in the studio and I cannot wait until her third album! “In my sanctuary (studio) Kyle’s playin on a song we wrote 2gether last mothers day. This song is so special 2 me. Can’t wait 2 share it w/u.”

7. Technology has begun spanning generations and @TerriClarkMusic has been affected by it “I love getting emails from my grandmother. Subject is usually weight, weather, or bowel movements.”

6. Be sure to watch the ACM’s tonight and if you are attending be on the lookout for @JaronATLRTL “Just been confirmed to appear at the ACMs… as a bathroom attendent just outside of section 104! Ladies room. Amazing gig. Come by and see me!!”

5. I never thought about @Bomshel as a threat, but the airport security thought they were! “Yea. The guy at airport security tried to get me to remove my bomshel sticker from my guitar…. He was serious. It made me laugh.”

4. I feel like I say this every week, but if you aren’t following @BrettEldredge you should start!  His tweets speak for themselves: “Opened windows lettin in the mountain air..Smell of natural Pine Sol rollin in! If that Pine Sol lady shows up while Im sleeping Ill freak”

3. I think road rage is just part of being human, but I think some people just have more than others.  @MartinaMcBride sent out this service announcement: “If ur 1st n long line of cars at a green light,I think it’s ur responsibility 2 pay attention& when the light turns green..GO! #drivepeople!”

2. There is always the one kid in class that has no idea what is going on on April Fools Day and apparently @TaylorSwift13 is that person: “Wow. I’m still the same as I was in elementary school- the last to realize it’s April Fools day. WAY confused until someone reminds me.”

1. Country music been making it’s mark lately and @JohnRich is bringing the country to reality TV! He posted this from his stay on Celebrity Apprentice “MR.TRUMP! I Kidnapped your slippers!1MILL for their safe return to your multi-billion dollar feet!JR”

Top Tweets of the Week – Week of January 23rd

10. @joeyandrory is probably the most down to earth duo there is in country music! After working at Marcy Jo’s, Rory just goes to the shop to pick up his car! “just picked up my Olds from the shop. Had to get some transmission work done on her.” http://yfrog.com/h0j32rj

9. I think most of America watches American Idol to make fun of the bad people and @ColdwaterJane is just another one of those people! “i like to watch american idol… for the bad people. does that make me heartless?? -b”

8. It does seem like at least once a month there is an awards show, but @blainelarsen puts it in the best perspective: “I think we have enough awards shows. Pretty soon there will have to be an awards show to honor the best awards shows! It’s coming folks!”

7. I think this just proves how normal @TaylorSwift13 is. Even when she is getting awards, she still gives high-fives like everyone else! “We all got dressed up and went to a party tonight where lots of wonderful people gave me and my producer Nathan shiny plaques-We high fived.”

6. Maybe this is why people’s new years resolutions never work! Too many temptations! @TerriClarkMusic wrote: “‘who to follow’ on my twitter account just suggested “Weight Watchers” AND “Paula Dean”…sounds counter productive”

5. This doesn’t need an explanation from me! @WhitneyDuncan said “Taking a bubble bath while being serenaded by my bf & his guitar. This would b super romantic if he wasn’t playing me my own songs. Haha”

4. @TaylorSwift13’s guitarist @GrantMickelson gave this tweet of inspiration about never giving up! “Met a guitarist last night who’s auditioning 2 get into Belmont’s Skool-O-Music, best of luck dude! If you get in, DON’T QUIT…like I did.”

3. When a joke doesn’t go well theres always an awkward silence, but @bretteldredge has found what to say! “My buddy told me a joke and when I didn’t get it he said ‘well that went over like a fart in a space suit’..ha! Never ever heard that one!”

2. There is nothing like the sound of a needle hitting that old record as @KelliePickler says “My Gpa Pickler gave me him and Gma’s old record player. Still sounds beautiful and so do all of the old records. Reminiscing.”

1. @DierksBentley is busy in the studio, but while he’s at it why not release one CD a month for the rest of the year? It will make the decision of what songs to puton the CD a lot easier! “‘@corbers: Yes, go the jamey Johnson route and give us a double dose of dierks! Double CD-26 songs?’ haha… how about 3… why not”
