Terri Clark on Yahoo! RAM Country

Terri Clark recently stopped by Yahoo! Music during her U.S. tour for an special performance that included her latest single, “The One,” from Roots and Wings and a cover of Patsy Cline’s “Walkin’ After Midnight.” You can watch her in-studio session now on RAM Country!

Her Roots and Wings Unplugged tour starts back up on March 9th in Norfolk, CT and consists of a collection of acoustic dates that will allow fans to enjoy the accomplished singer/songwriter/guitarist in an intimate setting. Named for her most recent album release, Roots and Wings Unplugged features Clark going it solo with just her guitars, her strong sense of humor, an arsenal of hit songs and new material many will be hearing for the first time.

“I love playing the more intimate, unplugged format for many reasons,” Clark explains. “It’s the most connected I’ve ever felt to myself as an artist and to my audience as people and not just fans. There are challenges – sitting on that chair alone for two hours, playing my guitar, kicking a stomp box, telling stories, laughing and baring my soul – yet these shows have been some of the best experiences in my 16-year career and I can’t wait for more.”

Clark has enjoyed a busy year of touring with her band in Canada and celebrated two Top 10 hits from Roots and Wings in her home country since its release on July 26th, 2011. Roots and Wings is available now on iTunes and Amazon. Fans can also watch her newest music video for “The One” on VEVO.

Some of the dates on this tour feature limited VIP packages that include a ticket, meet and greet pass and exclusive Terri Clark merchandise. To purchase tickets and VIP packages, please log on to www.terriclark.com.

New Music From Terri Clark

Terri Clark will release Roots and Wings, a 10-song collection she produced, July 26th digitally with a physical release following September 13th.

“I chose the album’s title after much deliberation about naming it after one of the song titles,” Clark notes. “The past year and a half was full of bitter and sweet and while it was tough, I feel it’s times like that when our minds grow the most so it definitely inspired me to write many of these songs.”

Clark co-wrote nine of the 10 tracks on Roots and Wings, hooking up with songwriting all-stars like Kristen Hall (formerly of Sugarland), Tia Sillers, Tom Shapiro, Jim Collins and Jim Rushing. Recorded at studios in Nashville and Toronto, session musician greats include Kenny Greenberg, Stuart Duncan, Andrea Zonn, Glen Worff, Bryan Sutton and Dan Dugmore among others. Backing vocal guests include Alison Krauss, Sonya Isaacs and Kristen Hall.

Long a trailblazer, Clark remains the only successful female ‘hat act’ in country music. She’s celebrated 11 Top 10 hits — including four in the No. 1 spot, is the only female Canadian member of the Grand Ole Opry, has won the fan-voted Canadian Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year Award an unprecedented eight times (more than Shania Twain or k.d. lang), won two Juno Awards and has several CMA, ACM and Billboard nominations to her credit.

Roots and Wings track listing:

Wrecking Ball (Terri Clark, Tia Sillers, Victoria Banks)
Breakin’ Up Thing (Terri Clark, Kristen Hall)
