The Best Celeb Quotes of 2008

Well a few of our non favorites made the list of Best Celebrity Quotes of 2008 on People.com

“I toot under the sheets, I spend a lot of money and I can belch the ABC’s.”
– Jessica Simpson, on what her boyfriends put up with, to PEOPLE.

“I just want to say, it’s not bad to wear a promise ring, because not everyone, guy or girl, wants to be a slut.” – Jordin Sparks, addressing the night’s digs about the Jonas Brothers and their promise rings, while presenting at the MTV Video Music Awards (I know that the Jo Bros are not country but they dated a lot of country music stars this year)

“I feel so embarrassed.”
– Miley Cyrus, apologizing before the release of her back-baring Vanity Fair photo, to PEOPLE.

So all you Jessica Simpson fans, still think she is cute?  Do people really talk like that to a reporter?  Come on, gross!  Be a lady.  Oh – I forgot – you don’t know how to do that anymore.

I think it’s sweet that they wear purity rings.  Just think it’s a little unrealistic when you are mobbed by little girls everywhere on a daily basis.  Sorry, I know it’s very pessimisticof me but I think that the press has made me this way.   I just think it’s too hard for anyone to stay “pure” when they are in the spotlight and dating Miley Cyrus.

Ok Miley – one minute you are embarrassed then the next minute you LOVE the photographer and want to be her one day.  Hmmmm, assphincter says what?

Okay, Time to Start the New Year Right..

So I figured I would blog. I have been in a downward spiral of darkness and depression since it was announced that Charles Kelley got engaged. Life seems hardly worth living. But in lieu of the legions of fans crying out for more Kitty, (and by legions I mean one stray email sent to Country Girl asking where I had been) I resolved to pick myself up, dust myself off, and invest in a voodoo doll that looks strangely like a certain Charles Kelley stealing ho. (I have no real reason to call her a ho. She could be a very nice person. But bitter jelousy can do strange things to a person.)

Anyhoo.. There is literally nothing going on in the country music world right now. So it’s not exactly the blaze of glory I planned to type in on. But, at least I blogged. Maybe I can dazzle you later with my all star reporting on all the “Happy New Year!” blogs floating out there.  Cheeze and rice, I never thought I would say this, but where is Jessica when you need her? Guess Ill just go start dinner..

OHMYGOSH! CHUCK-WICKS-AND-TOM-CRUISE-ARE-RUNNING-NAKED-DOWN-MY-STREET-DECLARING-THERE-LOVE-FOR-UNDER-WATER-BASKET-WEAVING!

Wait, never mind. Thats just the crazy cat lady down the street. She always takes a wheelbarrel of watermelons out for a walk about this time. Seriously, she is insane. Doesn’t she know watermelon is SOOOO out of season right now?

Quiet in Music City Today

Wow, no one is getting drunk, fighting, pregnant or divorced in country music today.  I guess everyone sang a country song backwards!  (that is a Rascal Flatts song….RF fans got it).

Anyways, bad joke – I know.  Since there isn’t much going on I thought I would just report what everyone else is reporting…..

Charlie Daniels Featured in Esquire Magazine – Charlie appears in the magazine’s “What I’ve Learned” column, where remarkable people are featured offering wisdom and advice. For the January 2009 issue, a month in which America will inaugurate a new president, Esquire highlights 50 “What I’ve Learned” interviews — one person representing each state. Published interviews include Clint Eastwood (who is on the cover), Jeb Bush, Quincy Jones, Larry Bird, Paris Hilton as well as a few from ordinary Americans who are fascinating in their own right — a lobsterman from Maine, a toll collector, and the caretaker of Mount Rushmore. All together, the feature is a monumental collection of wit, wisdom and advice from a diverse group of people.

One of my favorite new male country artists is singing Christmas – like everyone else this season.  Is there ANYONE that DIDN’T release at least one Christmas song this year?

Country Music Video: Darius Rucker, “Winter Wonderland”

Is Taylor After One of Her BFF’s Ex-boyfriends?

Yahoo Music is reporting that Taylor has a new crush.  It’s a crush that you wouldn’t believe.  At least I couldn’t believe it.   He dated one of her BFF’s for awhile.  Do you know who I am talking about?

It’s Chace Crawford – you know the hottie from Gossip Girl.  He dated Carrie Underwood awhile back.

From the interview it sounds like it’s a harmless crush but it would be weird for me to hear that one of my best friends thought about my ex like that.

Taylor also dished about kissing. “I was 15 and the oldest out of all my friends to have not kissed a guy,” she admitted about her first smooch.

Taylor is still one of the cutest girls in country music.  I am excited to see what she has planned for her upcoming headlining tour.
