Lauren Alaina releases a powerful music video to complement her anthemic new single, “Road Less Traveled.” The video, directed by Chris Hicky, takes viewers on a journey while Lauren revisits her younger self as she struggles with self-imposed and societal pressures of “perfection” through the years.
Lauren is also featured as part of the brand new online style series “Why I Love My…” from NBC’s TODAY. When recently in the studio to perform her inspiring new single, Lauren sat down to answer a few questions about the issues young women face today regarding body image.
Written with Meghan Trainor and Jesse Frasure, Lauren delivers an empowering message of self-acceptance and embracing your own individuality in her latest Top 20 hit single. Along with “Road Less Traveled,” Lauren wrote all five tracks on her Lauren Alaina EP, the follow up to her No. 1-debuting first album, Wildflower.
Recognized by Rolling Stone as a “Must-See Act,” Lauren is currently touring with country icon Alan Jackson for his 25th anniversary Still Keepin’ It Country Tour. The young star is also one of CMT’s “Next Women of Country” and a Spotify “Spotlight on Country” featured artist.
“Thin Line” was shot entirely on Cyrus’ expansive property in Middle Tenn. by director Blake Judd (Black Stone Cherry, Shooter Jennings, Thomas Rhett) and exposes faith, passion, and the power of music through Cyrus’ perspective. The music video offers viewers a peek into Cyrus’ southern home as he wanders through the spaces that flood with memories and the prized possessions in which inspire him—including a handwritten note from Johnny Cash in 1992.
“Thirty-six years ago I was working with Elvis and saw him take the same kind of flak you’re taking now. Congratulations on the way you’re handling it all. In your case, as in Elvis’, the good outweighs the bad. Let ’em have it. I’m in your corner.” – Johnny Cash
Cyrus shares the creative process that crafted the title track to his 14th studio album, released earlier this month through Blue Cadillac Music, in behind-the-scenes footage here. Thin Line is now available at major digital retailers, including iTunes and Amazon.
In addition, Cyrus recently wrapped season one of CMT’s scripted comedy, “Still The King,” in which he starred. Season two begins production in Nashville this fall and is slated to premiere in the spring.
With his new music video for “Everybody We Know Does,” Chase Rice isn’t just giving fans a glimpse into his world away from the lights and the noise and the stage – he’s busting the doors wide open and inviting everyone in to be a part of it. He solicited his own friends and family for the candid music video shoot at his property on the outskirts of Music City, tapping his longtime tour videographer Cody Cannon to capture the authentic spirit of “Everybody We Know Does” on camera.
“This music video is as real as it gets,” said Rice. “’Everybody We Know Does’ is my life in a song — it’s not just about what we do; it’s about what makes us who we are and what brings us together and we wanted to capture that in the purest way possible with this video. It’s literally my friends and me hanging out at the farm, gathering around a fire, singing our favorite songs and trying to make the most out of life. Whether we’re on the road, performing for thousands of people or just kicking back at home, this is who we are.”
Rice is currently on his fifth headlining tour, the Everybody We Know Does Tour, with special guests Ryan Hurd and Lacy Cavalier. Known for live shows that are “energetic and country rogue” (Providence Journal), Rice has built a widespread and fiercely loyal fan base through years of relentless touring and will have logged more than 175 days on the road in 2016 alone by the time his fall tour winds down. His new single is already making an impact at shows and a new studio album is expected out early next year.
