Joe Nichols and his wife Heather are expecting their first child, according to People.com.
After trying to have a baby for so long, we are thrilled to announce that I am pregnant,” Heather says. Adds Joe, “I have to give all the credit to my wife — she has been a trooper through all of this, and I am so happy.”

There is a two-day country music festival happening in Yerington, Nevada, this summer. It’s called “A Night in the Country Music Festival,” and it will take place July 27-28.
Stars including Joe Nichols, Neal McCoy, Lee Brice, Brett Eldrege and the band Lonestar are set to perform. The festival raises money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mason Valley. Organizers say the event is also meant to showcase northern Nevada’s rural culture with merchandise booths, food, art and humor. The Jukebox Music Festival launches featuring Alan Jackson, Kellie Pickler, Scotty McCreery, and Joe Nichols.
The Shasta District Fairgrounds will be the site of an exciting new music festival July 20th – 22nd. Closing with country music icon Alan Jackson on Sunday the Festival will for the three days prior present an array of new and heritage talent on four stages. Kellie Pickler, who’s new album 100 Proof just debuted on Billboard at #2 behind only Tim McGraw’s new release, will be featured on Saturday while American Idol Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery headlines Friday night.
Also featured during the three days will be Joe Nichols, Pam Tillis, Mark Chesnutt, Ricky Skaggs, Daryle Singletary and Asleep at the Wheel with more artists yet to be announced.

There is limited onsite camping available and the fairgrounds will include a variety of vendors and other activities for the entire family.

It’s a New Year’s Eve party from New York, all right — with a bit of a twang.
Fox will air a year-end bash with the likes of Toby Keith and Joe Nichols as the musical headliners — rather than being the sidemen for the more pop-oriented shows on other networks tonight. “American Country New Year’s Eve Live” will be hosted by comedian Rodney Carrington and “Pawn Stars” Rick Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell. The show will run 90 minutes — wrapping around the Times Square ball drop at midnight — and will also feature inserts from Las Vegas.
Another Fox show will also feature country stars as the clock winds down toward 2012. On Fox News Channel, Trace Adkins and Big and Rich will be on the bill.
