Win a Trip to See Jake Owen with Super 8!

The Super 8(R) hotel brand has launched its “Country Prize You Can’t Buy Sweepstakes,” giving country music fans throughout the U.S. the chance to win a VIP prize pack complete with travel accommodations, Jake Owen concert tickets and a private backstage tour.

Launched through a sponsorship with Premiere Networks, fans can enter by visiting the website of one of three hit Premiere radio shows, including After MidNite with Blair Garner ( www.aftermidnite.com ), The Big D and Bubba Show ( www.bigdandbubba.com ) and The Crook and Chase Countdown ( www.crookandchase.com ). Once on the site, fans must click on the Super 8 sweepstakes link and complete and submit a short online form. Entries must be received by May 13th and are limited to one per person.

The complete prize pack includes a three day, two night trip for two to see Jake Owen in concert during the Brothers of the Sun Tour on June 3rd in Atlanta, Ga., complete with round trip coach airfare, accommodations for two nights at a hotel, two VIP concert tickets and a private backstage tour. People.com has the first look at the stunning engagement ring Jake Owen presented to now fiance Lacey Buchanan. Jake assisted in the design process with Atlanta based jeweler Lizzy Raye Jewelers.

“I told her, ‘The sparkle is never going to go away in that ring, and I don’t want our sparkle to ever go away either,’” he tells PEOPLE. “‘On your darkest days, I want you to look at it and see that there’s a glimmer of light in it. I want it to always remind you of the possibilities of our relationship.”

The 2.5 carat oval diamond is surrounded by smaller versions of the large.

“I want that ring to be timeless,” he says. “When my mom saw it, she said, ‘That looks like something Princess Diana would wear.’ I was so excited to give it to her.”

Jake proposed to Lacey on stage in his hometown of Vero Beach.

Taylor, Carrie, & Jake Make EW’s 30 Greatest Artists of Right Now!

Entertainment Weekly has released it’s 30 Greatest Music Artists Right Now, and country music has made an appearance, although I’m a tad surprised.

Right behind No. 1 Adele is our own Taylor Swift at No. 2 as the Everygirl Superstar. Taylor is feverishly working on a new album.

Carrie Underwood nabs 4th place as the Country Belle. Carrie has enjoyed some down time with hubby Mike Fisher, but her new album Blown Away will hit stores soon.

”I got to take a little more time making this album and I feel like I’m really ready for it to be out there,” she tells EW. ”It’s like the beginning of a relationship — everything is new and exciting.”

The real shocker, Jake Owen is named Nashville Casanova at No. 19. Although, he may not be Casanova any longer since he popped the question to Lacey Buchanon and the two will be hitched. Jake has spent the last several years on the road, and will take to the stadiums this year with Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney on the Brothers of the Sun tour.

”I’ve spent the last six years playing anywhere and everywhere,” he tells EW. ”And I’m going to continue appreciating each day I can grab a guitar and sing.”

10. @CarrieUnderwood took a break from watching the Preds in the playoffs to do a shoot for Olay. “Getting ready for a fun day with my @OlayUS friends!

9.  After weeks of climbing the charts, @LeeBrice made it to the top. “Cheers y’all… My first number one single.. Can’t believe it, hope y’all are having one with me tonight..”

8. Just a year ago @Lauren_Alaina was on TVs nation wide.  Now she has become a party crasher: “I crashed a prom tonight after my set. So glad I still got to go to prom haha (:”

7. You know you’ve made it when people recognize you in public. @JimmyWayne had that experience this week. “A lady just made a dramatic “aren’t you” scene in the Southwest line & began singN my songs loud & sayN do y’all know him? It was killer!”

6. Friday @HunterHayes was on the Opry stage when Little Jimmy asked himm to return.  Hunter posted this about his time in the circle: “You know what the coolest part about last night @opry was? Knowing I get to go back tonight!! Seriously stoked!”

5. @Miranda_Lambert is known for her love of animals, but I think the animals find her – I’ve never seen someone find so many strays! “And I Found this on the side of the road this morning. Dah-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Batman! (The theme song ):)”

4. With a tour and TV show @BlakeShelton still has to make difficult decisions like this one:  “Damn it!!! I can’t handle the pressure anymore and I don’t know what to do!!! Will it be Coco or Fruity Pebbles?!!!”

3. Although people can only post 140 characters, @MartinaMcBride learned just how fast twitter moves this week. “I leave twitter for a few hours and what happens? @KeithUrban gets invited to join the Opry and @merlehaggard is on twitter! What a night!”

2. I’m pretty sure @JakeOwen stayed as far away from the mountains as he could on Friday the 13th. “Last time there was a Friday the 13th I broke my collarbone. Can’t wait to see what today has in store for me.”

1. Although Jake Owen doesn’t like Friday the 13th, @TaylorSwift13 finds the day lucky.  Maybe this is her next number 1! “Recording the next album. So happy.”

Jake Owen Opens Up About Engagement

As we previously reported, on Saturday night, in his hometown of Vero Beach, FL, in front of 5,500 family, friends and fans, Jake Owen proposed to his girlfriend Lacey Buchanan during the performance of his hit song “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.”

“Lacey is the answer to all of my prayers,” says Jake. “She is an amazing person and I’m the luckiest guy in the world.”

“When I was on stage, it just hit me how many of our family members (Lacey is also a Florida native) and friends were at the show,” reflects Jake. “So, I thought sharing that moment would mean a lot to everyone.”

As the requests to talk to Jake about his engagement are rolling in, his response is, “I’ll be happy to talk to everyone after this week passes. Right now, I’m focusing on what is most important and that is spending some quality time with Lacey and our families.”
