Hunter Hayes Shares Mother’s Day Memories

Hunter Hayes

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you hard working mothers out there!!! We hope you enjoy some much deserved R & R. Country Girl and I are headed out to lunch, a little window shopping, with a little eye candy in The Lucky One. While we are out and about enjoying ourselves, we hope you enjoy hearing about how Hunter Hayes honors his mommy-dearest.

“Dad and I aren’t too good at the culinary thing (like hopeless) so we take mom to a really nice restraint to have a long-relaxing dinner after church on Sunday.”

“I think the best thing I ever pulled off was surprising my Mother last year for Mother’s Day. I was on my radio tour for weeks at a time and hadn’t really planned on coming back home, but I was able to get a flight home to spend time with her. She knew nothing. Booked the flight, stayed at a friend’s place the night before, even called her that morning as I was driving up and made her think I was on the road. She was shocked! It went great!”

“I just know that my mother is like the glue to our family. She’s the most patient person I know and there’s no love like hers because it’s unconditional.”

Hunter Hayes Performs with Students for Labels for Education & The Grammy Foundation

Corpus Christi School in Piedmont, CA

In honor of Labels for Education, Safeway and the GRAMMY Foundation®, Hunter Hayes made a special guest appearance on Monday, May 7th to perform with seventh and eighth grade students at Corpus Christi School in Piedmont, CA. Labels for Education has developed a unique partnership with The GRAMMY Foundation® to help nourish the potential of children and support the social value of music education in schools and communities across the country. To show their support, Labels for Education and Safeway, a supporting Labels for Education retailer, awarded Corpus Christi School a special presentation and performance event with Hunter Hayes. Hayes performed a special set for students, and shared his experiences in the music industry, in hopes to teach students the importance of music in their lives.

Last week, superstar Carrie Underwood, announced that she will be kicking off her North American “Blown Away Tour” starting in September and will be accompanied by special guest opening act, Hunter Hayes. As Carrie’s special guest, Hunter will be opening for all her North American dates; tickets go on sale May 11th. For more information, please visit www.HunterHayes.com.

The GRAMMY Foundation® was established in 1989 to cultivate the understanding, appreciation and advancement of the contribution of recorded music to American culture — from the artistic and technical legends of the past to the still unimagined musical breakthroughs of future generations of music professionals. The Foundation accomplishes this mission through programs and activities that engage the music industry and cultural community as well as the general public. The Foundation works in partnership year-round with its founder, The Recording Academy®, to bring national attention to important issues such as the value and impact of music and arts education and the urgency of preserving our rich cultural heritage. Campbell’s Labels For Education program is proud to be the official education partner of the GRAMMY in the Schools® programs. For more information, please visit www.grammyintheschools.com. Hunter Hayes Celebrates Amazing Week

Hunter Hayes

In less than two weeks since Hunter Hayes’ video for “Wanted” made it’s GAC debut, it has taken the #1 position on GAC’s Top 20 Countdown. This marks Hunter’s first #1 video on GAC. The same week, “Wanted,” which was released just weeks ago, broke Billboard’s Top 40 chart. Making this an even more magical week for Hunter, while at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday night, legendary Opry member, Little Jimmy Dickens, invited Hunter back onstage for an encore. As he took the world-famous stage, throngs of screaming fans came running down to the front of the stage to cheer and sing along to every word.

“I don’t know what else to say but THANK YOU, to my fans, for voting me into GAC’s Top 20 Countdown, and to be #1, I am so excited,” said Hunter. “To top off the night I got to see you all in person, screaming and singing along to every single word at the OPRY! You guys are absolutely the best!”

Hayes continues his “Most Wanted 2012” tour this week in the following cities:
4/19 The Brick Minneapolis, MN
4/20 The Rave Milwaukee, WI
4/21 Iowa State University Aimes, IA
