Gloriana to Release New Album in July!

Gloriana will release their much anticipated second studio album A Thousand Miles Left Behind on July 31st. The band had a hand in writing all 11 tracks on the album and worked with GRAMMY Award winning producer and Emblem Music Group label owner Matt Serletic (Willie Nelson, Matchbox 20, and Aerosmith). Their single “(Kissed You) Good Night” is currently #15 on the Billboard Country Singles chart and # has become the fastest rising single of the trio’s career.

“We’ve grown up a lot as a band and have really honed in on our skills and found our sound,” Mike says. “On this record, we wanted to tell stories and I think people will be able to relate to a lot of these songs because they’re honest and come from a place that’s real,” added Rachel. “Like any new act, we were finding ourselves on the first record — in the recording process and as musicians,” Tom says. “The new album really just feels like us, who and where we are now, to the point where we know exactly what we want to do and how to get there.”

Tom, Mike, and Rachel have funneled everything they’ve learned into their second album, A Thousand Miles Left Behind, intent on revealing more of themselves as artists. The result is an alluring mix of up-tempo songs, “Wanna Take You Home,” “Sunset Lovin’,” “Go On…Miss Me,” “Doin’ It Our Way,” and graceful, heartfelt tunes: current single “(Kissed You) Good Night,” “Can’t Shake You,” “Turn My World Around,” “Carolina Rose,” and “Soldier Song”. Gloriana worked with some of Nashville’s finest songwriters for the album including Josh Kear (Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum), Hillary Lindsey (Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift), James Slater (Martina McBride and Tim McGraw), Danny Myrick (Jason Aldean and Big & Rich), Stephanie Bentley (Martina McBride and Faith Hill), among others.

Gloriana released their debut self-titled album in 2009 and quickly became the best-selling debut country act, winning the 2009 fan-voted American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist and the 2010 Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Vocal Group. They were named one of Billboard Magazine’s Top Country Groups for 2010 and have continued to win over fans across the country on tour. Gloriana Get Romantic on Upcoming Episode of The Bachelorette

Gloriana will be featured on the May 21st episode of the hit reality romance series The Bachelorette on ABC. In the second episode of the popular series Gloriana will perform a surprise concert in Charlotte, NC during a unique 1-on-1 date with the newest Bachelorette, Emily Maynard, the first single mom to ever star on the series, who first captured America’s heart on the 15th season of “The Bachelor.” Fans can tune in to watch Gloriana’s performance on The Bachelorette Monday, May 21st at 8pm EST (check local listings), on ABC.

Gloriana’s latest single “(Kissed You) Good Night,” from their forthcoming second studio album A Thousand Miles Left Behind, is currently in the Top 20 on the Billboard Country Singles chart and has become the fastest rising single of the trio’s career.

“I’m a huge fan of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette,” said Gloriana band member Rachel Reinert. “I watched Emily when she was a contestant on The Bachelor and I was an instant fan of hers, so hearing that she is a fan of our band was a wonderful surprise! Carrie, Luke, Brantley & More Share What they Do Before They Go On Stage & if They Weren’t Famous

Yahoo! Music’s RAM Country is asking America’s favorite Country music stars what they do before a show and what they’d be doing if they weren’t making music. The video features Carrie Underwood, Gloriana, Jessie James, Craig Morgan, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Thompson Square, Craig Campell, Kip Moore, Easton Corbin, Aaron Lewis and Brantley Gilbert.

It turns out, before becoming a singer, Brantley was in college to be a relationship counselor.

CMA Fest Riverfront Stage Line-Up Announced

Reflecting the wide range of artists who perform at CMA Music Festival, the lineup for the Chevrolet™ Riverfront Stage includes a collection of past, present, and future superstar artists. The 2012 CMA Music Festival will be held Thursday-Sunday, June 7-10, in downtown Nashville. The Chevrolet Riverfront Stage is free and open to the public.
The performances on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage will kick-off on Thursday, June 7th at 10:00 AM/CDT with a high energy show from the CMA Award-winning duo Montgomery Gentry. The duo last performed at CMA Music Festival in 2009.

“Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry are the perfect act to launch the 2012 CMA Music Festival on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage because of the excitement they generate with the fans while performing their great repertoire of hit music,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “This stage is packed with great hit-makers for four days, and it’s free! We invite everyone to come and enjoy the great music on the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage.”

Chevrolet, a valued partner of CMA Music Festival and the Official Ride of Country Music, will once again host a vehicle display at Riverfront throughout the four-day event.

Admittance to the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage is free, but four-day ticket holders have an exclusive 45-minute, early-entrance window before the gates open to the general public. The Riverfront concerts are a popular destination for families who want to enjoy great musical performances while relaxing on the sloping bank above the Cumberland River. The concerts are fun in the sun within easy walking distance of all the Festival event sites, with food vendors, activities, and more.

CMA Music Festival celebrates the unique relationship between Country Music artists and their fans in the heart of Music City USA. The artists participate for free, and on their behalf, CMA donates half the net proceeds of the Festival to support music education in Metro Nashville Public Schools through the Keep the Music Playing program. To date, more than $6.1 million has been donated to purchase musical instruments and supplies. The total also includes a $1 million endowment gift for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Words & Music program.

Gloriana’s Tom Gossin Reveals Engagement Via Song Dedication

Gloriana perforemd at the Acoustic Guitar Pull at the Capitol Theater in Rome, NY last week. During the show, Tom dedicated a song to Jaime Moffett, revealing he was actually engaged to the young lady.

This is a song I wrote for the new album and is about a girl I met in North Carolina who just last week I got engaged to, and this is our story,” Tom said before introducing “Carolina Rose.”

The Ninth Annual CMA Artist Luncheon was held on March 6. The event was held just hours after CMA announced the 2012 Inductees for the Country Music Hall of Fame: Garth Brooks, Connie Smith, and Hargus “Pig” Robbins. The three inductees were the honored guests at the Luncheon, and later shared stories from their careers in a panel moderated by artist and CMA Board member Kix Brooks.
