Eric Church surprised fans at the 2011 ACM Awards with his Awards show performance debut of his hit “Smoke A Little Smoke” from the RIAA Certified Gold sophomore release, Carolina. Many speculated it was the start of incredible things to come for the singer, and they were right. Additional milestones soon followed: No. 1 album debut on the Top 200 Billboard charts with Chief, his first-ever GRAMMY nomination for Album of the Year, his first No. 1 single with “Drink In My Hand,” which was recently RIAA Certified Gold, and now, his first industry-voted ACM nominations for Album of The Year for Chief, and Video of The Year for “Homeboy.”

“I’ve never minced words about the fact that my passion is making great records for the sake of the music,” says Church. “The fact that the ACM’s have nominated us for the album category is quite the honor and frankly the one I revere the most. “Homeboy,” both musically and visually, is a song that tells a compelling story. I have a very special place in my heart for the video, and I’m very grateful that it is getting recognized. It’s been one hell of a year!”

Turning heads out on his first-ever headlining arena tour, Eric Church: The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour, Church is seemingly on fire right now when it comes to inching closer to achieving sought-after megastar success. He set venue records in Southaven, MS over the weekend with a record attendance for a show in that arena – beating a record previously set with his performance alongside Jason Aldean.

To purchase tickets for Eric Church: The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour, which includes special guest Brantley Gilbert, visit www.ericchurch.com. VIP Packages are also available for fans that want to experience an up-close, exclusive backstage acoustic concert.

The ACM Awards winner for the Album of the Year and Video of The Year categories will be announced LIVE on CBS on Sunday, April 1st at 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET.

TouchTunes Interactive Networks and Capitol Records Nashville have joined forces promote Eric Church’s latest hit single, ”Drink In My Hand,” as well as his 2012 ‘Blood, Sweat & Beers’ U.S. tour with an exclusive sweepstakes giving Church fans a chance of a lifetime to win a trip for two to see the country superstar perform live in concert on his 2012 ‘Blood, Sweat & Beers’ tour. The prize package includes a backstage meet-and-greet with Church, round trip airfare for two and two-night hotel accommodations. Fans can enter the sweepstakes on participating TouchTunes Digital Jukeboxes or online at http://www.touchtunes.com/ericchurch (18+, U.S. only, void in AK, HI & RI.)

“It’s been amazing to watch Church’s popularity grow on our network,” said Vicki Saunders, TouchTunes Vice President, Digital Media and Music Marketing. “He’s a super talent, a super guy and his music really speaks to our audience.”

Produced by Jay Joyce, Chief was a labor of love for Church who secluded himself in a cabin in his home state of North Carolina for over a month to write the record with notable hit-makers Casey Beathard, Luke Laird, Jeff Hyde and more. The album was recorded and mixed by Joyce in his Nashville, Tennessee studio.

“I am so grateful for the many ways Chief has changed my life,” shares Church. “There is no cooler thing to a recording artist than when people tell you that your music matters to them. Every single day the momentum for this record gets bigger and stronger, and I can’t wait to share this music with the people who truly made this happen. It’s gonna be one hell of a tour!”

Eric Church’s ‘Blood, Sweat & Beers’ tour kicks off in Fort Smith, AR on January 19th and will run through 2012, hitting at least 50 cities throughout the US.
Eric Church kicks off the new year with a career first – “Drink In My Hand” from his critically acclaimed album, Chief, topping the Country radio charts. The number one single joins a string of career firsts and accolades for Church including his first GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album of the Year, Chief debuting at the top of the Billboard Top 200 and spending two weeks at No. 1 on the Country albums chart, a Gold certification by the RIAA for Chief after only 10 weeks, the ACM Award for New Solo Vocalist of the Year and the announcement of his first arena headline tour – The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour.

“This is the 10th single we have released to radio,” explains Church. “It is truly the greatest example of belief, dedication, determination and plain old hard work that we have achieved this milestone. I can’t thank the EMI staff and country radio enough for making this happen and believing in the music, but the real gratitude must go to our fans. I’ve heard countless stories from hundreds of fans of how they have gone above and beyond to get our songs heard and demand that people pay attention to what’s going on in our world. I can’t think of a better way to kick off a tour!”

Chief has been recognized as one of the Top Albums of 2011 by Rob Harvilla’s SPIN List, NPR, Rolling Stone and Amazon. iTunes named Church 2011 Country Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
