The Jukebox Music Festival launches featuring Alan Jackson, Kellie Pickler, Scotty McCreery, and Joe Nichols.

The Shasta District Fairgrounds will be the site of an exciting new music festival July 20th – 22nd. Closing with country music icon Alan Jackson on Sunday the Festival will for the three days prior present an array of new and heritage talent on four stages. Kellie Pickler, who’s new album 100 Proof just debuted on Billboard at #2 behind only Tim McGraw’s new release, will be featured on Saturday while American Idol Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery headlines Friday night.

Also featured during the three days will be Joe Nichols, Pam Tillis, Mark Chesnutt, Ricky Skaggs, Daryle Singletary and Asleep at the Wheel with more artists yet to be announced.

Darryl Worley “The Fishin Hole Song”

What started as a simple fishing promotion with one of the world’s most recognizable songs, has led Darryl Worley to become an outdoor ambassador for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and other similar state organizations across the country. Darryl and songwriting pal Wynn Varble recorded “The Fishin’ Hole,” better known as “The Andy Griffith Show” theme song, and the song is being offered through a text-to-give campaign to raise money for relief efforts caused by wave of natural disasters that impacted numerous states in 2011.

“Everyone knows that melody, and it will stick in your head for days if you’re not careful,” according to Darryl. “Even though I’m a huge ‘Andy Griffith Show’ fan, I didn’t know the song had lyrics. They are clever and give the song brand new life.”

Fans can text the word FISH to 50555, which allows a ten dollar donation to be added to the user’s phone bill. As a thank you gift, a link to a free ringtone of the song is sent to the donor’s phone. These funds are received by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation, and the net proceeds are then used to help restore levees, replace equipment lost or damaged in the disasters and re-stock fish in waters affected by flooding, tornadoes, drought and more. Donations from other parts of the country are distributed back to the state of origin’s wildlife agency.

”The outdoors has always been a big part of my life. I grew up in Tennessee and have always looked forward to my time in the woods and on the water. Whenever I get a little down time, I love to get away from it all and relax. I’m honored to be able to lend a hand to those who take care of our fish and wildlife.”

The “Fishin’ Hole Song” music video, which features Darryl, Wynn and Bassmaster Elite professional anglers Terry Scroggins, Gerald Swindle, Kota Kiriyama, and Brent Chapman was debuted during the Southeastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies meeting held recently in Nashville. Music video outlets will begin airing the video in the coming weeks, and a corresponding public service announcement encourages fans to participate in the texting campaign. Scroggins and Swindle have also recorded a Public Service Announcement touting the campaign.

Darryl and Wynn are no strangers to collaboration. One of their co-written songs is the huge hit recorded by Darryl called “Have You Forgotten.”

Fall Festival Organizers Reaching Out to People Who Bought Tickets to Cancelled BamaJam Event Festival

People who bought tickets to the now cancelled Bama Jam Music and Arts Festival can look forward to another event. And organizers of the new event – Fall Festival at Bama Jam Farms – say your ticket is still good and is worth more than what you paid for it. Here’s how:

Customers WHO HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED A TWO FOR ONE ticket voucher to next year’s Bama Jam can now redeem that voucher for a 5 for 1 ticket to Fall Festival.
Customers WHO HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY REFUND can exchange their Bama Jam ticket for a 10 for 1 ticket to Fall Festival.

Fall Festival at Bama Jam Farms will take place October 29th and will feature hay rides, a hay maze and a helicopter will fly/over and drop prizes for children ages 7 & under. John Rich and The Roys Set to Perform at the Fall Festival at BamaJam Farms

John Rich and The Roys have been added to perform at the 2011 inaugural Fall Festival at BamaJam Farms taking place on October 29th. The family-focused entertainment event will also feature musical performances by Darryl Worley, MercyMe, and Enterprise locals The Springs, hay rides, hay maze, along with many other fun activities to include a helicopter fly-over treasure drop for kids 7 and under.

BamaJam Farms currently has RV hook-ups, a 9-hole golf course, as well as its first series of ATV trails that will open that same weekend. There will be major expansions in several areas of the outdoor adventure venue which will include a water park, among other family-friendly areas.

Fall Festival at BamaJam Farm is Set for Oct. 29

Darryl Worley announced the inaugural Fall Festival at BamaJam Farms. The family-focused entertainment event will take place on October 29th with musical performances, hay rides, hay maze and pumpkin carving contests, along with many other fun activities to include a helicopter fly-over treasure drop for kids 7 and under.

“I am excited to be back in Enterprise, Alabama,” says Darryl Worley. “It’s time for the community to have an event like this, where God and Country coincide.”

It was also announced that Contemporary Christian group MercyMe will be performing at this year’s Fall Festival at BamaJam Farms. MercyMe, best known for their smash hit “I Can Only Imagine,” have numerous awards to their credit including American Music Awards, Dove Awards, and were recently named Billboard’s ‘#1 Songs Artist of the Decade’.

Also set to perform are Enterprise hometown locals The Springs, which are an up-and-coming country-Christian act. They have been away from home for the past year, living in Nashville producing their new album. More entertainers will be announced within the next few weeks.

Darryl Worley, Montgomery Gentry and Jesse Keith Whitley to Perform at TN River Run

Jesse Keith Whitely joins concert headliners Montgomery Gentry, Kansas and Darryl Worley as part of the 10th anniversary of Worley’s Tennessee River Run. The popular annual outdoor festival is slated for Sept. 15-17 in Savannah, TN.

A Saturday night concert at Pickwick Landing State Park on Sept. 17 will feature Jesse Keith Whitley, son of Lorrie Morgan and the late Keith Whitley, opening for Montgomery Gentry and Darryl Worley. The biggest fireworks show in TRR history will cap off the concert.

Whitley recently released his debut single, the title cut from his Kentucky Thunder EP. Jesse has been on a nationwide radio tour and performing shows, including several dates with Lorrie Morgan. Earlier this year, he performed at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and accepted the induction honor on behalf of his late father.

The Tennessee River Run includes not only rock and country concerts but an opening gala, songwriters’ event, bass tournament, golf tournament, battle of the bands, craft booths and food vendors. The annual event benefits the Darryl Worley Foundation, a 501c3 public benefit corporation that serves special needs for people in West Tennessee, Northwestern Alabama and Northeastern Mississippi. It also supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center. Admission for Friday night’s concert is $15 in advance or $20 at the gate, which opens at 6 p.m. Tickets for Saturday night’s concert are $35 in advance and $40 at the gate. Saturday night admission for children ages seven to 12 is $15, and children six and younger enter free with a paying adult. A weekend concert pass is available for $45 in advance and $50 at the gate.
