Rhonda Vincent can now add another accolade to her mantel, she’s been named the Celebrity Cornbread Cookoff winner! Last week, the “Queen of Bluegrass” celebrated her tenth year of performing and participant at the National Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg, TN. Her recipe “Rhonda’s Ragin’ Cornbread” took home the blue ribbon this year and she was happy to share the win with a worth cause.
“It’s always an honor to represent Martha White and especially exciting to win the celebrity cook-off at the National Cornbread Festival,” Rhonda told AOL’s The Boot last week. “The proceeds go to the Marion County Children’s Fund, which assists foster and underprivileged children in Marion County, TN, so it’s always very special to participate in this event!”
More than $4,500 was raised this year for the Marion County Children’s fund. Rhonda also won a television set during an auction and donated it to a nearby family in Rutherford County who lost their home to a fire.
