Marlee Scott recognized early on that she was born to be a singer. The talent was there. The drive was there. The charm was there. The patience, on the other hand…
“I remember when I was fourteen years old, every night before I went to bed I would tell myself that I would be a recording artist by the time I turned fifteen. It didn’t happen quite that fast!” she laughs.
Although she wasn’t the recording artist she had hoped by the age of fifteen Marlee’s undeniable drive turned those dreams into a reality. Marlee was nominated for the CCMA Rising Star Award in 2010 at the prestigious Canadian Country Music Awards. Her single, “Here to Heaven,” was an international success, going Top 20 in Canada and Australia and No. 1 in England, Germany and Holland.
Marlee recently shared her ultimate Words to Live By with Country Music Tattle Tale joking “Life’s a bi*ch eat a Toblerone!” In all seriousness she adds, “You only live once, so enjoy!”
Marlee’s debut album on Big Ride Records comes out in the U.S. and Canada in spring 2012. Find out more about Marlee and her music by visiting http://marleescott.com.
