Country Weekly to Kick-off CMA Fest with a Party!

Country Weekly magazine is celebrating the kick-off to CMA Music Festival with a special benefit concert featuring country artists Colt Ford, LoCash Cowboys, and Matt Stillwell who will bring their southern fried country music to the stage of the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville on Tuesday, June 5th. In addition to VIP packages and meet & greet opportunities, fans are now able to bid on unique auction items including a chance to sing “Dirt Road Anthem” on stage with Colt, who co-penned the No. 1 hit for Jason Aldean, plus a chance to hang with Colt backstage in the green room for the full VIP experience.

All proceeds from the event will go towards Musicians On Call (MOC) Nashville’s ongoing efforts to bring the healing power of music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities in Middle Tennessee. Tickets are available now on the MOC website and begin at $15 for General Admission and go up to $350 for a VIP table for four including meet & greet passes.

BMI Tailgate Party Brings Even More Music to CMA Fest

BMI will help make downtown Nashville’s beloved celebration of all things Country Music even bigger with the introduction of the BMI Tailgate Partyat 2012 CMA Music Festival, Thursday through Sunday, June 7-10, beginning at 4:30 PM. Located right off the Cumberland River outside LP Field, the new stage will feature a strong selection of BMI’s songwriters and artists warming up the audience before they enter LP Field for the Nightly Concerts.

The BMI Tailgate Party is free and open to the public. A limited amount of parking will be available at LP Field each night for $15 cash-only on a first come, first serve basis.

Brent Cobb, Florida Georgia Line, Hogslop String Band, Kristen Kelly, Chuck Mead and His Grassy Knoll Boys, Chancie Neal, the Peach Pickers (Rhett Akins and Dallas Davidson), Mo Pitney, Trent Summar and the New Row Mob, Kenny Vaughan, and the World Famous Headliners (Big Al Anderson, Shawn Camp, and Pat McLaughlin) will all perform on the BMI Tailgate Party stage.

For fans who want to attend the Nightly Concerts at LP Field after the BMI Tailgate Party, tickets are still available. Fans are advised to purchase tickets in advance, as LP Field has sold out the last two years. Tickets to the individual Nightly Concerts are $40 (plus applicable handling fees) for general admission in the upper deck of LP Field. Little Big Town Announce 6th Annual Ride for a Cure

Little Big Town is back to host the 2012 Ride For a Cure Sunday, June 10th with proceeds benefitting the T.J. Martell Foundation. This will be the group’s 6th consecutive year hosting the ride.

The event will stay true to form with the exception of a new starting location for registration and the pre-ride Jam Session that will be Mickey Roo’s (509 Hillsboro Road, Franklin, TN 37069) in the Kroger Independence Square parking lot on Hillsboro Pike (see below link and QR code for specific directions). Registration begins at 8am.

At this pre-ride location guests and riders can expect performances by Cali Rodi and others on the welcome stage and then will depart at 10:30am for the Harley-Davidson Columbia Superstore.

Post-ride festivities will begin at 12pm and include a lunch hosted by Applebee’s, an All-Star Jam Session with performances by Lauren Alaina, Dean Alexander, Love and Theft and Little Big Town as well as a live auction for all attendees.

To date over $260,000 has been raised for the T.J. Martell Foundation since the beginning of Ride For a Cure. There have been over 2,500 motorcycle riders to participate in the ride, and an additional 2,000 people have joined us over the last three years at the Harley-Davidson Columbia Superstore for the post-ride All Star Jam concert. Past performers and supporters include Martina McBride, Jamey Johnson, The Band Perry and Luke Bryan among others.

2012 CMA Fest Gear is Here!

The new line of 2012 CMA Music Festival merchandise is now available online at www.CMAmusicfeststore.com. Introducing seven new apparel items, in addition to hats and accessories, this year’s Festival merchandise pays tribute to classic Country Music imagery while incorporating fresh new styles for the fans.

Four new unisex T-shirts are available this year, beginning with the “Edgy” event T-shirt. This classic heather grey T-shirt features a large blue “CMA” logo on front, laid over a circular emblem which reads “NASHVILLE, TN” and “MUSIC FESTIVAL” around the edge. The “Harvest” T-shirt comes in chocolate brown and displays a distressed 2012 CMA Music Festival hexagonal logo on front. The back features a similar logo beneath the neckline, which reads “NASHVILLE TENNESSEE.” The unisex “Rough Country” T-shirt is cardinal red and features a weathered 2012 CMA Music Festival block logo on front with “NASHVILLE, TN” printed underneath.

The always popular event T-shirt is classic and simple. Coming in three colors – white, charcoal grey, and green – this unisex shirt features the official 2012 CMA Music Festival logo on the front.

The new merchandise line also includes two new ladies T-shirts. The 2012 ladies “Flower” T-shirt comes in light pink and features a water-colored CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL logo on the front, accented by a light blue floral print design. On the back right shoulder a smaller flower design is featured with the NASHVILLE, TN 2012 text logo.

The light blue “Missy Cut Vintage” T-shirt displays an intricate vintage-style logo design across the chest. A new take on the CMA Music Festival logo, this diamond-form design features the Festival logo with “NASHVILLE 2012” printed underneath. Ribbon and floral accents surround the edges, creating a blended style of classic and modern.

The weather may be hot during the Festival, but you can still look cool with the 2012 unisex “Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirt.” This light blue heather sweatshirt features the official 2012 CMA Music Festival logo on the left chest.

Tickets on Sale for CMA Fest 2013 This Saturday

2012 CMA Music Festival, Country Music’s hottest event of the year, is just weeks away in June, but the Country Music Association is already planning for next year as tickets for 2013 CMA Music Festival (June 6-9, 2013) go on sale this Saturday, May 19th at 10:00 AM/CT.

Beginning Saturday, fans can order tickets by calling the CMA Box Office at 1-800-CMA-FEST (262-3378) or Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. To purchase tickets online, visit www.ticketmaster.com. Prices do not include applicable handling fees. Ticket prices are subject to change without notice. All sales are final and non-refundable. Four-day ticket package categories correspond to a different level of seating at LP Field. Children 3 years and younger are admitted free.
