Tyler Farr Releases “Our Town” of Forthcoming Third Album

tyler-farr

Columbia Nashville post modern country traditionalist Tyler Farr has released “Our Town” the first song off his forthcoming third album due early 2017.

“It’s been an interesting year for me with having to take time off after my micro-laryngeal surgery, but taking that time not only was a huge benefit for my voice, it was a benefit to my spirit. I had time to think, actually sit down and watch the news and see what is happening out there,” says Farr.

He adds

“I saw that the world today isn’t the same one that I remember from my youth, back before I left my own home town, and it got me thinking. Man, there’s a lot of anger, hate and straight up disrespect for others that seems to show no end. That doesn’t sit well with me. Where did faith, hope and love go? In my town I see constant reminders of how life used to be, and I miss that. It’s not all bad, I still do see some good things happening and I hope with “Our Town” my fans can take a second and share that feeling and conviction with me, because buddy it’s strong.”

Our Town” impacts Country Radio on Monday, September 26th and was written by Liz Rose, Nathan Chapman and Arista Nashville singer/songwriter Seth Ennis.  Once again sharing producing duties is Jim Catino and Julian King, both of whom produced Farr’s debut album Redneck Crazy and second outing, the critically acclaimed Suffer In Peace.

Beginning today Farr’s ever-growing fan base can download “Our Town” here.

#CountryStrong Benefit Raises Big Bucks for Orlando

orlandostrong

Almost 10,000 people experienced four hours of music from Maddie & Tae, Tyler Farr, Jerrod Niemann, Canaan Smith, Billy Currington, Easton Corbin, Parmalee, Michael Ray and Cole Swindell at Orlando’s CFE Arena last night (6/22) during K92.3’s Country Strong concert, the Cox/Orlando and WWKA benefit for those affected by the recent mass shooting.

“Members and first responders of the Orlando Police Department and Fire Department, doctors, nurses and surgeons who attended to many of the victims, and many of their family and friends were in the audience,” MD/morning co-host Ashley Stegbauer tells Country Aircheck. “[The show] was emotional, but brought such a sense of community, peace and healing, which was a major goal.”

“An absolute success and a truly memorable and healing night for Orlando,” adds PD Drew Bland. “Major thanks to our team at K923, Cox Media Group and the countless caring people in Nashville who helped make this happen in such a short period of time.”

Proceeds are being tallied and will go the city’s OneOrlando Fund. Donations are still be accepted here.

Tyler Farr To Perform Free Concert At Tootsie’s

Tyler Farr will make a special appearance at the legendary downtown Broadway bar, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, on Sunday, May 15th at 7:30 PM CST. This free show presented by NRA Country will be Farr’s first since he had to cancel a tour due to having microlaryngeal throat surgery to remove a vocal polyp on his vocal chords in January of this year. Storme Warren of SiriusXM will host the event.

“I worked at Tootsie’s when I first moved to Nashville. Seems fitting to have my first show be back where it started!”

The power vocalist first became aware of vocal issues while on tour with Jason Aldean last summer – and the problem was identified during a severe bout of bronchitis at the end of 2015.

“This is the last thing I would’ve ever expected,” said the operatically-trained Farr. “I sing hard, and I give it everything I have every night, but I really believed I was putting my training to work. After a #1 song, an awesome tour with Jason and getting engaged, this is not how I thought I was going to be winding up 2015.”

Rather than wait and see, Farr and his medical team opted to remove the polyps and begin vocal rest, followed by aggressive therapy. To maximize recovery and minimize time off the road, the Missouri-born owner of three gold and one platinum single canceled all shows for the next few months.
