Trick Pony Gears Up for New EP

Following their 2014 reunion, duo Trick Pony are announcing their highly anticipated new EP, PONY UP, set to be released via Sony RED on February 26th. Comprised of Heidi Newfield and Keith Burns, the twosome have taken their experiences, both in the studio and on the road, to dial in on the exact sound and style they always knew they were capable of creating. Produced by the legendary James Stroud, the project will feature 5 brand new tracks. The first track off of the upcoming project, Everybody Wanna Be Us, is available now on iTunes HERE and other digital outlets.

The duo can also be spotted in the latest issue (1/18) of NASH Country Weekly on newsstands now.

Celebrate Tootsie’s 55th Anniversary NASH Bash in Downtown Nashville

Music City’s legendary honky-tonk Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, 95.5 NASH ICON and NASH FM 103.3 will celebrate Tootsie’s 55th Anniversary NASH Bash in Downtown Nashville on Wednesday, Oct. 21 with a FREE Broadway street party (between 4th and 5th Avenue). As part of the celebration, Tootsie’s, in partnership with Dollar General, is hosting a sanctioned Nathan’s Famous hot dog eating contest at 5pm. The top male and female finisher will each qualify for a spot to compete in the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island on July 4, 2016.

Once again, the event will feature a star-studded line-up on the outdoor Broadway stage throughout the day, including Randy Houser, Terri Clark, LOCASH, Chase Bryant, Michael Ray, Trick Pony, Confederate Railroad, Amanda Watkins, John Stone, Scott Collier, Anthony Orio and more. Country on the River to Benefit Operation Toop Aid


Country On The River, a multi-day music festival taking place in Iowa on June 20 – 21 and Wisconsin on August 7 – 9, has named Operation Troop Aid as the official charity.

The Iowa festival will feature performances by Gary Allan, Bret Michaels, Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, Thompson Square, Tracy Lawrence, Lonestar and Joe Diffie. The Wisconsin festival will feature performances by Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Tracy Lawrence, Kix Brooks, Thompson Square, Sawyer Brown, Dustin Lynch, Parmalee and Trick Pony.

“We are very honored to have Operation Troop Aid with us at Country On The River. The support they bring to our troops is invaluable. Country On The River is committed to the Troop Aid cause and we fully support their efforts. We look forward to having Operation Troop Aid in both Iowa and Wisconsin,” says festival organizer Scott Sheckler.

Since its inception, Operation Troop Aid has garnered the support of music celebrities across multiple genres, from KISS to Toby Keith and Cheap Trick to Charlie Daniels. David Nail, Craig Campbell, Trick Pony to Heat Up Country Summer

Country Summer, Northern California’s biggest country music festival, has announced six top artists added to the entertainment lineup. The two-day event, on June 13 and 14 at Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, Calif., features 11 nationally recognized country entertainers.

In addition to previously announced headliner Hunter Hayes and Joe Nichols, David Nail, Craig Campbell and Dan + Shay will perform on June 13.

On June 14, Sara Evans, Trick Pony and Dylan Scott have been added to the lineup. Darius Rucker headlines Saturday’s show; Eli Young Band and Dustin Lynch will also perform.

Collectively, Country Summer performers have won an array of Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and Grammy awards; attained multi-platinum status with their albums; and topped the Billboard country music charts with their singles.

“From country music’s hottest sensations to up-and-coming breakout stars, the inaugural Country Summer event is going to be a colossal entertainment happening,” Alan Jacoby, executive producer of Impact Entertainment, said. “For two days and two nights, Santa Rosa will be the place to be for phenomenal country music for fans of all ages. Country Summer will be the place to be and the place to be seen.”

While Jacoby is exuberant about all of the entertainers performing at Country Summer, he is especially excited about recently reunited Trick Pony. Lead singer and local favorite Heidi Newfield is from Healdsburg, Calif., and Country Summer will be the band’s first major re-appearance in the Sonoma County area..
