The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will “ride” and the musicians will “rock” so the fans can “party” during the PBR Cowboy Spring Break Festival scheduled Memorial Day Weekend at the MGM Resorts Village in Las Vegas featuring Gary Allan and The Band Perry. Additional artists will be added in the coming weeks.

For three days fans can enjoy the concerts, on-site pool parties, mechanical bull riding, frothy drinks, bull rider meet-and-greets, interactive displays, shopping and a host of other activities.

“Cowboy Spring Break has been a long-time in the making and we have an exceptional line-up of entertainment to surround one of PBR’s most popular events, The Last Cowboy Standing” PBR COO Sean Gleason said. “It’s the last PBR event before the summer break and I know that our cowboy athletes will be ready to enjoy some fun-in-the-sun with PBR fans and western lifestyle enthusiasts.”

The celebration will be centered on one of the PBR’s most popular and roughest event formats, the Last Cowboy Standing. The Top 50 bull riders in the world will compete Friday and Saturday in round after round of competition. If they make the 8-second buzzer, they advance. If they come up short, they’re done. The battle continues until one athlete remains and becomes the “Last Cowboy Standing,” pocketing at least $180,000 as the winner. The event’s total purse is $250,000.

The Last Cowboy Standing will be held at the MGM Resorts Village and is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Friday, May 22nd and at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 23rd. Gary Allan will rock the house following Saturday night’s Round 2 action and The Band Perry will close the weekend’s festivities on Sunday.

The Last Cowboy Standing is the second PBR Major and will be broadcast on CBS.

Tickets for Cowboy Spring Break are on sale now and can be purchased at all MGM Resorts ticket offices or concierge desks, all Ticketmaster locations or on-site at the MGM Resorts Village on the day of the event.

Tickets also can be purchased at ticketmaster.com or via phone at (800) 745-3000. A single day of concerts, excitement and the Last Cowboy Standing event is only $50 for general admission seats. Exclusive, three-day ticket packages including reserved seating and VIP reserved seating are available for only $299 and $449, respectively. Three-day general admission packages are also available for $99.

Special hotel room rates are available at 12 MGM Resorts International properties and can be booked at

The Band Perry Working with Pharrell Williams on New Music

The Band Perry

The Band Perry are teaming-up with “The Voice” coach and Blake Shelton rival, Pharrell Williams. According to CMT After Midnite’s Cody Alan, the trio had a great time working with the legendary producer on a song for their upcoming album.

“We’re being really crazy about the different collaborations that we’re diving into,” sister Kimberly tells Cody. “We got to hang out with Pharrell a couple weeks ago. He’s like a huge country music fan, and he also really loves what we do with harmony. One thing that we worked on with him was this song where all three of us sing different interwoven vocals on the verse and on the chorus.”

Interestingly enough, Pharrell did leave his signature big brown hat at home. You can read more here.
