the band perry

The Band Perry threw a summertime party for some special friends from country radio at Wrigley Field in Chicago this past weekend. The stop on the TEN TIMES CRAZIER TOUR with Blake Shelton marked the second time the sibling trio performed at the historic baseball stadium, making them the only country artists to have played Wrigley twice.

Fans can also catch the band on ABC Television on “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” on August 5th 8/7c.

CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock to Air in August

2014_cma_music_festival_logo

Summer’s hottest artists will perform on “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” airing Tuesday, Aug. 5 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network and hosted for the second year by reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year Little Big Town.

Filmed during CMA Music Festival in June, the special features many of today’s most exciting Country Music stars, including Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes, Brad Paisley, and The Band Perry, as they hit the stage during the four-day party and celebration of America’s music.

The special first aired in 2004. This is the 10th time ABC will broadcast the special – which invites the whole country to America’s largest Country Music celebration. The annual special will air on ABC through 2021.

The Aug. 12, 2013 airing of “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” (8.3 million and 2.0/6) dominated its three-hour time period, beating CBS (6.1 million and 1.5/4) by wide margins in viewers (+36 percent) and young adults (+33 percent). The “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” spiked over 2012’s telecast (5.7 million and 1.5/4 on 9/17/12) by 46 percent in viewers and by 33 percent in Adults 18-49. In fact, the 2013 special drew the biggest-ever audience on ABC and equaled a seven-year high in Adults 18-49 (since 2006). ABC began airing the annual program in 2005.

ACM Lifting Lives® and the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities will partner again for the 5th Annual ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp, June 23-June 27, 2014, in Nashville, TN. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Music Camp and the 5th year that ACM Lifting Lives has been involved. Country music artists The Band Perry, Lee Brice, Brett Eldredge, JT Hodges, Casey James, Chris Janson, The Swon Brothers, Wynonna and producer Ross Copperman have graciously agreed to volunteer their time with the campers at various points throughout the week.

The Camp, a week-long residential program open to individuals with Williams syndrome, talented in music from around the nation, has a dual purpose of studying Williams syndrome while providing music enrichment through performance and education. ACM Lifting Lives funds the costs of the Camp in addition to providing scholarships to several campers, enabling the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center to advance its mission of improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through research, training and service.

Campers will participate in a songwriting workshop and recording session, along with other music-oriented activities, culminating in a live performance on the world famous Grand Ole Opry.

Throughout the week, campers gain invaluable experience through visits from top-tier country music veterans. Prior camps have featured artist visits from Lauren Alaina, Gary Allan, Kix Brooks, Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, Julianne Hough, Jana Kramer, Lance Miller, Eddie Montgomery, David Lee Murphy, Jerrod Niemann, Jake Owen, LeAnn Rimes, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Paul Worley, Wynonna, Big & Rich, Little Big Town, Love and Theft and more.
