Taste of Country Music Festival 2017 will be held June 9-11 at Hunter Mountain Resort (Hunter, NY) in the Great Northern Catskills of Greene County.

Country music superstar Jason Aldean was the first headliner announced for the 2017 festival.

Dhruv Prasad, one of the festival’s organizers, said,

“We’re tremendously excited to add Sam Hunt to our lineup, joining our previously announced headliner Jason Aldean. Sam’s latest single ‘Make You Miss Me’ has just hit #1, and it’s his 4th single to reach this milestone from his platinum debut album. Sam Hunt continues to make history. “Make You Miss Me” lands at the top of both the Billboard and the MediaBase country airplay charts this week making it Hunt’s fourth No. 1 radio hit off of his critically acclaimed, GRAMMY-nominated debut album, Montevallo. According to Billboard, Hunt is the first solo male, and only the fourth artist overall, to peak its Country Airplay chart four times with singles from a debut album since the chart’s January 1990 launch.

“Make You Miss Me,” written by Hunt, Josh Osborne and Matthew Ramsey, is an impressive fifth single from the Double Platinum-selling Montevallo and Hunt’s fifth consecutive title to surpass 1M in single sales. It follows the Top 5 hit “Break Up in a Small Town” and Hunt’s three back-to-back No. 1 smash singles “Leave the Night On,” “House Party” and “Take Your Time.”

Since Montevallo’s 2014 release, Hunt has accumulated a whopping 2.53B streams and has earned an additional 10.5M in RIAA single certifications with the recent recognitions of “Take Your Time” going Triple Platinum; “Leave the Night On,” “Break Up in a Small Town” and “House Party” each earning Double Platinum;” “Make You Miss Me” reaching Platinum status and album track “Ex to See” hitting Gold.

This summer has seen Hunt take his dynamic live show across the country including the massive Spread the Love 2016 Tour with Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert. When not on the road, Hunt has been hard at work writing and in the studio for his highly-anticipated new music expected out in the upcoming months.

HUKA Entertainment announced today a record year for the fourth annual Rock The Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival, held over the weekend at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. Nearly 90,000 fans flocked to the beach for three days of performances from superstars Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw and Dierks Bentley, along with Sam Hunt, Elle King, Thomas Rhett, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kelsea Ballerini and 25 more musical acts!

What began as country music’s first large-scale festival on the beach, primarily attended by local fans, has grown to become the world’s dominant destination location event, drawing attendees from 47 states and 16 countries to Tortuga.

“HUKA is honored to produce large-scale, destination-location festivals – it’s the fierce loyalty of our Tortuga fans who allow us to raise the bar each year,” said HUKA Entertainment CEO, Evan Harrison.

A.J. Niland, HUKA Entertainment Chief Experience Officer adds, “with the fan response to this year’s enhancements like more shade, art installations, and better flow, my mind is already racing with innovative surprises for next year.”

Expanding to a third day in 2016 proved to be a massive win for Tortuga Music Festival, which has quickly become a permanent fixture within the extremely competitive music festival landscape. Plans are already underway for Tortuga’s 5th anniversary celebration, with more details to be revealed soon.
