Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon Wed Beachside

Country star Rodney Atkins tied the knot with fellow singer-songwriter Rose Falcon during an intimate beachside ceremony Sunday, November 10 on Captiva Island, Fla. Twenty guests were in attendance as the couple exchanged vows, including Atkins’ son Elijah, who acted as best man. Officiating was Charles Hutchins, founder of Holston United Methodist Home for Children, where Atkins spent his infancy before being adopted.

On Saturday, friends and family were treated to a day of fishing in the beautiful waters surrounding Captiva. Rose crafted many of the wedding decorations herself, including wedding programs made of CD cases and a handmade bracelet for each female guest. Male guests each received a custom hat made to match the baseball cap worn by the groom.

Rodney and Rose also took a special moment during the wedding ceremony to recognize the 51st anniversary of Allen and Margaret Atkins, presenting Margaret with a three-carat aquamarine ring (a nod to Rodney’s birthstone).

When asked about their plans after the wedding, Rodney and Rose both responded, “Our life is a honeymoon.” They are returning to Nashville and will continue on The Most Hits For The Money Tour, along with country guitar-slinger Frankie Ballard.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Rodney Atkins and Rose Falcon who are getting ready to say “I do” next month.  The couple is planning to tie the knot in Florida.

Rodney was excited to talk about fiance and their upcoming nuptials to Country Weekly saying,

“Rose is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. . . . She’s completely talented and beautiful,” Rodney told Country Weekly with a smile. “The majority of our conversations are about for God to have a plan in our lives. We’re just having an incredible time just being and not being caught up in anything but living life, which is beautiful.”

The two will exchange vows in a very intimate ceremony that will take place at a special location they recently stumbled upon.

“A while back we took some time, and one day while we were touring through Florida, we went fishing,” Rodney reveals. “So that’s where we’re planning on tying the knot. The date is going to be next month.”

While the ceremony will be intimate, with just immediate family, Rodney and Rose are planning on having a big blowout after becoming husband and wife.

“We’re going to come back to Nashville and have a big party!” Rodney says, beaming.

In the meantime, Rodney and Rose will continue touring together on the More Hits for Your Money Tour, also featuring Frankie Ballard.
