Leah Turner Releases New Music Video “Cowboy’s Love”

Leah Turner

California native, Leah Turner, is coming off the heels of her Top 40 Billboard single, “Take the Keys” with a brand new music video for “Cowboy’s Love.”

The success of  “Take the Keys,” which led to an opening spot for Brad Paisley on his 2014 Country Nation Tour, and Turner was also named by Taste of Country as the #1 Female to Watch. Her new single, “Cowboy’s Love” co-written by Leah, Niko Moon, and Grammy Award winning-writer Tim Nichols (“Live Like You Were Dying,” “Heads Carolina, Tails California) is an analogy of a man that stands beside his woman, and is tough and strong but knows how to be tender. The song was inspired by Leah’s father (a championship header in the rodeo who made his living as a cowboy) and his love for her mother. The video was directed by Michael Mapes with Crown Pointe Productions and produced by This Music and Back Home Management. The single will be available on iTunes on Friday, December.

Turner, a songwriter for Warner/Chappell Music, has spent the last year writing and recording new music with a fresh spin that she is now ready to share with the world. Her new tune, “Cowboy’s Love” was co-written by Leah, Niko Moon (co-wrote and co-produced all of Zac Brown’s Zekyll and Hyde record) and Grammy Award-winning writer, Tim Nichols (“Live Like You Were Dying” Tim Mcgraw, “Heads Carolina, Tails California” Jodee Messina, “Cowboys and Angels” Dustin Lynch, “I Got the Boy” Jana Kramer).

Turner explains: “The story behind ‘Cowboy’s Love’ and why it is dear to me is because I was raised by a Cowboy, and a little girls first love is her father .. I learned how to love and how to be loved. The ‘Cowboy’s Love’ is really an analogy of a man that stands beside you, is tough and strong but knows how to be tender and love his woman…that’s how I saw my father love my mother. Strong…Tender… and makes you feel safe… He can carry the world!”

Leah celebrated the forthcoming release of “Cowboy’s Love” earlier last week in an intimate setting at the Warner/Chappell offices on Music Row. She credits her father, a championship header in the rodeo, and grandfather who both made a living as cowboys and taught her firsthand, the lifestyle of a cowboy. “Cowboy’s Love” was directed by Michael Maples with Crown Pointe Productions and produced by This Music and Back Home Management.

A California native, Turner is no stranger to success having already released two singles for Columbia Records Nashville. Her debut single, “Take The Keys” reached Top 40 on the Billboard Country Airplay Charts. The success of the song led her to open up for famed country star, Brad Paisley on his Country Nation Tour in 2014 and Taste of Country named her #1 Female to Watch. “Cowboy’s Love” is available on iTunes and you can get behind- the-scene details of her music video from Country Weekly.

Leah Turner Announces Debut EP Details

leah turner

Amid the success of her debut Top 40 single “Take the Keys” at country radio and the launch of her new single “Pull Me Back,” Columbia Nashville recording artist Leah Turner will release a five-song self-titled EP on May 6th, just in time to hit the road on tour with Brad Paisley. Starting today, fans can pre-order the EP Leah Turner here:

The California-raised singer co-penned each of the EP’s five tracks, including her critically acclaimed new single “Pull Me Back,” which showcases Leah’s distinct vocals as she offers listeners a glimpse into a relationship’s pivotal “make-or-break” moment.

Roughstock gives “Pull Me Back” four-and-a-half stars, noting it is “an already tight song elevated to greatness by a highly distinct voice…she sounds like absolutely no one else on radio right now.“

The Daily Country raves, “if there is a female artist who stands to break through as the next chart topper, my bet is on Leah Turner. Leah’s voice is distinct: smoky, strong and emotive, spunky even, but in ‘Pull Me Back,’ we hear a more vulnerable side. The push and pull can also be felt in the melody, from the sensitive mandolin to the thumping drumbeat of the chorus where the listener can really sense what she experiences and feels. 4 1Ž2 stars.”

Hailed as one of country’s most compelling new artists, Leah Turner’s ready laugh conveys all the joy and adventure she finds in life and her voice carries the power and grit to personify its ups and downs. She’s been recognized as a “new and noteworthy” act by Billboard’s “Bubbling Under” column and recently featured on Country Weekly’s 2014 “Ones to Watch.” Leah heads next to the ACMs in Las Vegas, where she can be seen next performing at the Rock Space Beer Festival opening for Jerrod Niemann on Friday, April 4th, at the ACM Party For A Cause Festival on Saturday, April 5, and at All Star Jam on Sunday, April 6th.
