The immensely talented and utterly charming Tony Award winning singer-actress Kristin Chenoweth sat down with Larry King on the Emmy nominated series “Larry King Now” to talk about her new album ‘Coming Home’, the prospect of returning to “Glee”, being a “Jesus freak” and the possibility of playing Dolly Parton on Broadway.
Broadway star Kristin dished to Larry about introducing the “Glee” cast to old musicals, and Chris Colfer’s priceless reaction to meeting her,
“I can remember Chris Colfer saying, ‘This is like working with Jesus!'” Kristin also told Larry she’d love to play the queen of country, Dolly Parton, “When she very first met me, she said, ‘You could play me!’ and I thought, ‘I could play you!'” (interview below)
Kristin also talked about who she’d play in the ‘Wicked’ movie — and who she wouldn’t,
“I would love to be in it somehow, just not one of the midgets.” She also dished on getting fired from an early job for her support of LGBT rights, “They asked me to step down, and I said, ‘Well, you’ll have to go ahead and fire me,’ and they said, ‘We’d really like for you to just step down.’ I said, ‘No, that’s okay. You can just go ahead and fire me.'”
The beautiful Kristin wrapped up her interview by giving Larry a taste of her ‘Wicked’ talent and serenaded him with ‘For Good’ on the set of “Larry King Now”.
