John Rich, owner of Redneck Riviera, states, “I’ve always dreamed of building the kind of place where my friends and family could get together and turn it up after a hard day’s work. Redneck Riviera is that place. We are going to build as many of them as it takes to offer a place for every hard-working American to cut loose and celebrate a job well done!
“I am also honored to be able to announce that we will have a special interior bar inside each of the Redneck Riviera clubs called ‘The Heroes Bar’ dedicated to our veterans. If you are active duty or a veteran, your first drink is on the house. Our motto is ‘have one on us’ to celebrate their dedication to this great nation,” he continues.

Scheduled to open in late 2016, the Redneck Riviera bars will be located in Las Vegas at Grand Bazaar Shops, 3635 S. Las Vegas Blvd., located adjacent to Bally’s Las Vegas and in Nashville at 208-210 Broadway, both in the heart of the respective city’s high-traffic tourist destinations. The Las Vegas location will also offer a menu from the famed Wahlburgers, which is located just beneath Redneck Riviera.

Bob Durkin of Bar Management Group, based in Charlotte, North Carolina is the principal of the operating team, whose other assets include the Whisky River establishments with partner Dale Earnhardt, Jr. “We are so excited to be partnering with John Rich on the Redneck Riviera concept bars. We have a proven track record with several successful concepts and we know that the determination and drive we see in John Rich makes this a perfect match to take the brand wide. There is much more to come with this exciting brand and we are proud to be a part of this venture with John,” he concludes.

Community leaders are excited to welcome the excitement of the ‘themed’ property joining the landscape of the popular local and tourist-driven destinations. The celebrity aspect always brings an added adventure and a value to the market.

“Redneck Riviera, is going to bring a one-of-a-kind entertainment venue to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip where families and friends can enjoy great music in an incredibly fun atmosphere,” says Larry Siegel, chairman of the Juno Property Group and developer of Grand Bazaar Shops. There will be a lot of action at Redneck Riviera and the attraction will compliment our center’s food and beverage offerings, including Wahlburgers, Giordano’s and Starbucks.”

“I love it when artists and musicians like John Rich who have found success in Nashville turn around and invest back in our community,” said Nashville’s Mayor Megan Barry. “John’s Redneck Riviera will be a great addition to Lower Broad and fun for visitors and Nashvillians alike.”

“We welcome John Rich to Lower Broad,” said Butch Spyridon, President & CEO, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. “Ironically, in tourism we often refer to that area as ‘Nashville’s Beach’ for visitors, so Redneck Riviera should fit right in!”

Country Musicians Downplay Use Of Confederate Flag

confederate flag

Country musicians have been quietly swapping out the Confederate flag for the American flag in the weeks since nine black churchgoers were fatally shot in Charleston, South Carolina.

The Confederate flag was once a symbol of the renegade spirit for many country acts but it has fallen under scrutiny after the alleged Charleston shooter, Dylann Roof, was photographed with it as a symbol of white supremacy. Charlie Daniels wrote on his website the Confederate flag was simply a sign of defiance and pride in where people came from. John Rich told Fox News he agreed with the calls to remove the flag from the South Carolina statehouse.

Personally, I think it is up to each one of us to do our own research to find the real reason this battle flag was once flown.  I think if we take the time to find out the real history and meaning of it we will find that it is wrong to let one person who committed a heinous crime change our United States history forever.

I applaud Kid Rock for standing up for his beliefs and not backing down.

Kid Rock issued a scathing response to Fox News for its story about a Michigan-based group protesting the Detroit Historical Museum’s exhibit that bears his name.  Even though Kid Rock is a Michigan native, he had no love for those protesting the Kid Rock Music Lab because of his association with the Confederate flag, which he often displays on stage.

During the segment that aired Thursday, Fox News’ Megyn Kelly read the the rock star’s response to those who wanted him to denounce the flag.

“Please tell the people who are protesting to kiss my a–. Ask me some questions.”

John Rich is planning to open a chain of restaurants he describes as “the more rural, rowdy version of Margaritaville.”

The Tennessean reports John will open a Redneck Riviera bar and restaurant in downtown Nashville next spring. He intends to open others in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and in Pensacola, Florida.

John already has a clothing line based on the Redneck Riviera concept, and he plans to create a liquor as well.
