Live Nation Entertainment revealed plans today to launch Chicago’s first major country music festival. Windy City LakeShake will take place at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island June 19-21. Country music heavyweights Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line and Brad Paisley will headline the festival set against the iconic backdrop of Chicago’s city skyline.
With the festival’s scenic setting of Northerly Island offering a weekend retreat for fans, additional artists slated to play include Frankie Ballard, Easton Corbin, Clare Dunn, Mickey Guyton, Randy Houser, Maddie and Tae, Ashley Monroe, Kip Moore, Justin Moore, David Lee Murphy, Joe Nichols, Cassadee Pope, RaeLynn, Thomas Rhett and Canaan Smith with more to be revealed over the coming weeks.
Windy City LakeShake will join Live Nation’s premier country music festival family that includes Watershed, Faster Horses, Route 91 Harvest, FarmBorough, the recently announced Delaware Junction and will host two stages including the festival group’s trademark “Next From Nashville” stage, showcasing emerging country music acts. Three day passes start at $199.50 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale Mon., Feb 2nd at 10am CT. Fans will also have the opportunity to upgrade to VIP passes which will allow fans access to elevated viewing, shaded reserved seating, exclusive cash bars, upgraded food selection and more.
