Grand Ole Opry to Kick Off CMA Music Festival Week With Star-Studded Show


Grand Ole Opry member Carrie Underwood along with Easton Corbin, Del McCoury, Scotty McCreery, and more will hit the stage Tues., June 9, as the Opry kicks off its CMA Music Fest Week with two star-packed shows.  Seven-time Grammy®-winner Underwood returns for her first appearance on the Opry stage since her Opry at the Ryman performance in December.

The music is set to kick off earlier in the afternoon with a free Opry Plaza Party presented by Humana® featuring Columbia Records recording artist Tyler Farr, whose sophomore album SUFFER IN PEACE released last month is a Top 5 hit. Opening the Party will be Opry fan favorite and Curb Records recording artist Mo Pitney.

Country on the River to Benefit Operation Toop Aid


Country On The River, a multi-day music festival taking place in Iowa on June 20 – 21 and Wisconsin on August 7 – 9, has named Operation Troop Aid as the official charity.

The Iowa festival will feature performances by Gary Allan, Bret Michaels, Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, Thompson Square, Tracy Lawrence, Lonestar and Joe Diffie. The Wisconsin festival will feature performances by Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Tracy Lawrence, Kix Brooks, Thompson Square, Sawyer Brown, Dustin Lynch, Parmalee and Trick Pony.

“We are very honored to have Operation Troop Aid with us at Country On The River. The support they bring to our troops is invaluable. Country On The River is committed to the Troop Aid cause and we fully support their efforts. Joe Diffie & Tracy Lawrence Added to Charlie Daniels Christmas 4 Kids Golf Tournament

Celebrities from sports, music and television will team up for the third annual Christmas 4 Kids Celebrity Golf Tournament, presented by Prevost (the leading manufacturer of premium motor coaches), on Tuesday, April 29th at Pine Creek Golf Course (1835 Logue Rd.) in Mt Juliet, Tenn. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Christmas 4 Kids, a charitable organization which has helped to bring Christmas joy to thousands of Middle-Tennessee children. For over twenty years, Christmas 4 Kids has been providing children in the Middle Tennessee area with the chance to experience the joys of Christmas. Last year, Christmas 4 Kids was able to provide over 400 children a ride on a celebrity tour bus, a party with Santa and Mrs. Claus, money to spend on gifts for themselves and others at a local Wal-Mart and a new winter coat.

The Watershed Music Festival sold out within 10 minutes of going on sale to the public this morning.  Over 25,000 three day passes were sold for the third annual music and camping festival on August 1, 2 and 3 at the Gorge Amphitheatre.  The heavy hitting lineup features Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, Jake Owen, along with Billy Currington, Eli Young Band, Joe Diffie, Randy Houser, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, Cassadee Pope, Eli Young Band, Chase Rice, Dallas Smith and many more taking part in what is promising to be the festival’s best year yet.

“The fans for this festival, or ‘shedders’ as we call them, came out in full force,” said Brian O’Connell, Creator of Watershed Music Festival and Live Nation President of Country Touring.  “Our website actually crashed for a bit, we got everything up and running again but the response has been overwhelming to say the least!  Every year we strive to make the festival the best we can for both the fans and artists, I think we’re on our way to making this the craziest hillbilly sleepover ever.”
