CMA Fest Wrap-Up Day 3

Well, it’s almost done, CMA Fest 2015 has concluded day three.  Our third day adventure was hampered by a morning rain that caused us to miss out on some of the things we had hoped to do, but the sun quickly shone and we were back at it…  We stayed at Riverfront to check out Jason Michael Carrol, The Swon Brothers, and Parmalee.

The highlight of the day was seeing the legendary Tanya Tucker close out Riverfront’s 3rd day to a capacity crowd.  Riverfront was literally shut-down, and they couldn’t let anyone else in.  Although Tanya was at her best a decade and a half earlier, it’s been a while since anyone has seen her perform.  Although her looks have changed, she proved that she’s still got it!  She sounded amazing and it was a definite highlight to see the crowd of all ages sing “Delta Dawn” back to her.

LP field was great.  Unfortunately, you won’t see many pictures because the photo-line situation was awful.  So, instead of a ton of stellar pictures we got a few mediocre.  But Chris Young, Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge, Little Big Town and Carrie Underwood rocked it.  As always, Little Big Town was a favorite of ours.  “Girl Crush” was awesome!!! Can’t wait for y’all to see the show.

We’re off to Day 4 !!!

If you missed our first 2 CMA Fest Wrap Up videos check them out here:  DAY 1  and DAY 2.

Jason Michael Carroll to Release New Album ‘What Color Is Your Sky’

Jason Michael Carrol

Country music singer, songwriter, guitarist and hitmaker Jason Michael Carroll is setting his sights on the Tuesday, May 5 release of What Color is Your Sky, his fourth full-length album and first since 2011. The album’s first single “God Only Knows”—notably premiered earlier this week with Country Weekly—is available now via iTunes and gaining strong support among his long-term loyal fans while already seeing heavy rotation at country radio stations including WCYE in Rhinelander, WI, WVFB in Tompkinsville, KY and WKUL in Cullman/Birmingham, AL.

What Color is Your Sky—the self-released (via For The Lonely Records) 15-track collection of songs about love, life, good times, pain, and simple ways sung in CARROLL’s trademark baritone voice and recorded with his band—embodies the emotional essence and storytelling flow of the best country music and reflects his rocking side as well.

Jason Michael Carroll Releases “Close Enough”

Jason Michael Carroll

Jason Michael Carroll

Country music hitmaker Jason Michael Carroll releases his first single in two years, “Close Enough,” to country radio today. (Aug 13)

“Close Enough” is characteristically aligned with the country crooner’s style of beautifully crafted lyrics and melodies, and perfectly showcases Carroll’s signature voice and his depth as a songwriter.

Carroll self-produced the track, and penned it with co-writers Aaron Babcock, Nathan Sallie, and Peter Christian. “Close Enough” will be included on his forthcoming album release.

Carroll shared his thoughts on his resurgence back to country radio with the release of “Close Enough,”

“I’m incredibly thankful to the amazing fans that have stuck by me all these years and I’m looking forward to this next record. I’ve always loved songwriting, and telling my stories. Music is personal, whether you’re writing or listening to it. And I hope that comes across with every song.”

“‘Close Enough’ is a GREAT next step in my career and I’m looking forward to the many more that will follow,” Carroll adds.
