Hunter Hayes, Scotty McCreery, The Swon Brothers & JT Hodges Participate in ACM Lifting Lives Camp

ACM Lifting Lives® and the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities will partner again for the 6th Annual ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp, June 19-June 23, 2015, in Nashville, TN. Country music artists Hunter Hayes, JT Hodges, Scotty McCreery, The Swon Brothers, songwriter Heather Morgan and songwriter/producer Ross Copperman have graciously agreed to volunteer their time with the campers at various points throughout the week.

The Camp, a week-long residential program open to individuals with Williams syndrome, talented in music from around the nation, has a dual purpose of studying Williams syndrome while providing music enrichment through performance and education. ACM Lifting Lives funds the costs of the Camp in addition to providing scholarships to several campers, enabling the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center to advance its mission of improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through research, training and service.

Campers will participate in a songwriting workshop and recording session, along with other music-oriented activities, culminating in a live performance on the world famous Grand Ole Opry.

Throughout the week, campers gain invaluable experience through visits from top-tier country music veterans. Prior camps have featured artist visits from Lauren Alaina, Gary Allan, Lee Brice, Kix Brooks, Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge, JT Hodges, Julianne Hough, Casey James, Chris Janson, Jana Kramer, Lance Miller, Eddie Montgomery, David Lee Murphy, Jerrod Niemann, Jake Owen, LeAnn Rimes, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Paul Worley, Wynonna, Big & Rich, Little Big Town, Love and Theft, The Band Perry, The Swon Brothers and more. This year’s schedule includes:

Friday, June 19: Songwriting Workshop with Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan (9:00am-11:30am)
Saturday, June 20: Wildhorse Saloon with JT Hodges (5:00pm-7:30pm)
Sunday, June 21: Dinner & Karaoke with The Swon Brothers (5:30pm-7:00pm)
Monday, June 22: Studio Day at Ocean Way with Hunter Hayes and producer Ross Copperman (9:00am-11:30am)
Bluebird Café with Scotty McCreery (2:30pm-3:30pm)

JT Hodges Premiers New Music Video

JT Hodges takes fans behind the scenes in his latest release, making them feel as if they are a part of the recording process at Destiny Studio in Nashville. The video premiered on SiriusXM The Highway, where the song has been a fan favorite since release.

JT shares, “I’m all about making music that makes you wanna move, get your head noddin’ and put you in a mood,” which perfectly sums up his new track, “Lay It Down”. Combining the infectious “uh uh uhh’s” with the sultry melodies, this tune definitely has it all!

If Country Music falls in a forest and there IS someone around to hear it, does it make a sound? It certainly will in Forest City, Iowa this Memorial Day weekend (May 24-25, 2014)!

The inaugural Tree Town Music Festival, which previously announced Brad Paisley and Toby Keith as headliners, are excited to announce the addition of Brantley Gilbert, Chris Young, Tyler Farr, Charlie Worsham, David Nail, JT Hodges, Leah Turner, Sarah Darling and The Last Ride to the star-studded line-up.

In addition to the musical extravaganza, Tree Town Music Festival will feature “Little Nashville,” a stage bringing the excitement of Nashville’s world-famous Broadway to Iowa (opens to campers and ticket-holders on Friday, May 23 from 6pm to 2am as well as during the festival), beer tents, a variety of food vendors, rock climbing, bounce houses and much more for the entire weekend.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Heritage Park, Tree Town Music Festival is bringing Nashville to Iowa with non-stop music from two stages and other on-site entertainment during the day and a Country Music party night under stars. If you’re looking for the full-festival experience, the campgrounds boast over 1800 campsites on more than 200 acres. The fun continues in the campgrounds, with flip cup competitions, golf cart taxis, food and drink vendors and more.

VIP tickets are also available for those looking for the premium Tree Town Music Festival experience. VIP ticket holders will be given prime seating, with the best view of the main stage, the closest parking to the festival entrance, access to mouth-watering catered food from 1:30pm to 8pm on May 24-25 and discounted drinks at a private bar.
