David St. Romain is Ready for Pre-Release Party in Baton Rouge

David St. Romain

“Are you ready for this?”

Not only is it a track on his newest CD, but it is also the message Baton Rouge recording star David St. Romain emphatically states when referring to his latest project – Dealing with the Man.

Set to be released this fall, St. Romain will give his fans a sneak peek at his most recent venture at a CD Pre-Release Party, to be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Lod Cook Alumni Center. Doors open at 7 p.m. for a cocktail party followed by the live performance beginning at 8 p.m.

Dealing with the Man is the second undertaking of St. Romain’s record label DSR Entertainment, which released the previous album “All I Really Wanted to Say” in 2011.

“This is bringing it back home for me,” said St. Romain. “This is our sophomore record on DSR Entertainment, but for me it is extra special because it’s the first album I have self-produced.”

St. Romain recorded Dealing with the Man at Dockside Studios, a Maurice, La. based studio well-known for producing Grammy Award winning acts like B.B. King, Irma Thomas and Sammy Kershaw, as well notable Louisiana musicians Marc Broussard, Dr. John and Wayne Toups among others.

“This album is really about who I am,” St. Romain said. “This is my first chance to use all of my years of experience in the music industry and combine it into an album my fans can appreciate.”

Tickets for the event are $50 per person, which includes an autographed copy of Dealing with the Man. VIP passes are $75 and include an autographed CD, a VIP meet and greet with St. Romain and a “DSR Swag Bag,” comprised of additional CDs, t-shirts and other gifts. To purchase tickets, call 225.281.8885.

“I want my fans here in my hometown to have the opportunity to be the first people to hear this music,” said St. Romain. “I could have gone and released this album in Nashville, but I wanted to do here in my hometown, here in Baton Rouge.”

Hotel packages are available through The Cook Hotel and Conference Center at LSU. Deluxe accommodations for two including show tickets, the cocktail party and breakfast start at $199. Suite upgrades are offered at $299. For reservations, contact DSR Entertainment by calling 225.281.8885 or email at booking@davidstromain.com.

David St. Romain Releases New Single “Some Things”

David St Romain

Everyone has had times in their lives when they have wanted to tell it like it is. In his new single “Some Things,” David St. Romain takes a satirical timely look through the eyes of a free spirited country boy who does not hesitate to speak his mind.

This fun, up-tempo hit single was written by top Nashville songwriters Bridgette Tatum, Danny Myrick and Kirsti Manna and is the first single released through DSR Entertainment.

After being discovered while competing on the country music reality show, “Nashville Star,” where he placed third on season five in 2007, St. Romain released his debut album, All I Really Wanted to Say, in March 2010. The 12-track release, showcasing his soulful, country vocals and wide-ranging influences, debuted on the Billboard Indicator Charts at #59 with a +48 spin/play increase.

St. Romain will kick off his tour on March 1st at Hard Rock Café Nashville. Other tour dates include Hard Rock Café Chicago, Duke’s Country Saloon, the 5th Annual Jeffrey Steele & Friends show and The Lincoln County Music Festival.
