Craig Morgan’s New Lyric Video Premiers on USA Today!

Craig Morgan

USA Today is set to exclusively premiere the brand new lyric video from country music star and award-winning TV host Craig Morgan.

For the next 48 hours, fans can go to www.USAToday.com for an exclusive interview with Craig Morgan and the first look at the lyric video for his new single, “We’ll Come Back Around.”

Having recently celebrated 26 years of marriage, Craig easily relates to his current single as it showcases the importance of a lasting relationship having the ability to go through “ups and downs” and ultimately come back around to a place of love.

“That’s a long time to be married to one person,” Craig jokes. “I can tell you in that 26 years we’ve had our share of arguments, when you fall in love that’s going to happen. But we never gave up and that’s what this song is all about.”

Shot and produced internally near Buffalo, New York the lyric video is an early example of how Black River creates synergy between its entities including; music, publishing, football, and hockey by utilizing company resources to advance and support the roster’s artistic vision.

Written by Trevor Rosen, Brandy Clark and Jessi Jo Dillon, “We’ll Come Back Around” was co-produced by Craig and his longtime creative partner Phil O’Donnell and is found on his recent release The Journey (Livin’ Hits). USA Today declares Craig’s “We’ll Come Back Around” to be “the rare love song capable of distinguishing between emotion and commitment, and one of Morgan’s finest singles,” while Music Row states “this fiery vocalist is just the guy to sell this well-written throbber.

Craig Morgan had a hugely successful weekend as his 8th Annual Charity event raised a staggering $60,000 while fans enjoyed the beautiful middle Tennessee weather, a hair-raising motocross exhibition and some great musical moments!

The event took place on Sunday, July 20th in Morgan’s hometown of Dickson, TN. All proceeds benefit the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation. The organization’s primary goal is to assist foster children in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee.

The day kicked off with a motocross exhibition and group trail ride, including motocross celebrities Fred Andrews, Randy Hawkins and Kevin Windham. Fellow country stars Tracy Lawrence and Chuck Wicks also joined Morgan to test their skills on the wooded course.

Later that night, fans were treated to a hit-packed concert on the Dickson War Memorial Lawn. Chuck Wicks and Tracy Lawrence joined Morgan onstage for acoustic performances, including the Black River Entertainment singer’s latest hit “We’ll Come Back Around,” praised by USA Today as “one of Morgan’s finest singles.” The night also featured a live auction, with a FLY racing helmet hand-painted by Joshua Gray and a 2010 Kia Soul donated by Universal KIA, raising nearly $10,000 toward the total, with all proceeds going to the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation.

In addition to last weekend’s events, the Dickson County Craig Morgan Foundation has expanded its fundraising efforts in 2014 with an inaugural 5k race held in March and a Sporting Clay Event planned for October.

Craig Morgan Signs On As Spirit of Blue Spokesperson

Craig Morgan

The Spirit of Blue Foundation is proud to announce that country music star Craig Morgan has been named its national celebrity spokesperson. In that capacity, Craig Morgan will appear in a new public service announcement, perform and speak at select events across the country and will spread the word about Spirit of Blue’s work as he tours.

“Our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line each and every day to keep us safe,” shared Craig Morgan. “I’m honored to be joining Spirit of Blue to help bring attention to their sacrifices and how we can help protect our men and women in blue.”

In addition to his 14 top-ten hits on the country music charts, and membership in the Grand Ole Opry, Morgan has a rich history of service to his country and community. Prior to becoming a county music star, Morgan’s working-man resume’ included taking on work as an EMT, a contractor, a sheriff’s deputy, and a Wal-Mart assistant dairy manager. Additionally, he is extremely proud of his nearly two decades of service in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves, serving well into his music career. Morgan continues to serve as a Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy with an agency in middle Tennessee.

“What makes Craig the perfect spokesperson is his big heart for those who serve in law enforcement, and the fact that he served as a deputy sheriff himself. He knows the joys, struggles and safety concerns that go along with the job,” commented Ryan T. Smith, Executive Director of the Spirit of Blue Foundation. “It doesn’t hurt that he is also a great musician.”

Morgan’s first opportunity as a celebrity spokesperson will come with the promotion of his August 19th performance at the Grand Ole Opry during a law enforcement appreciation segment of the show. In addition to performing, he will lead the law enforcement tribute as attending officers are honored and the Spirit of Blue awards safety grants to Nashville-area agencies. A national sweepstakes, the Grand Ole Opry Getaway, allows fans from across America to enter to win a trip to attend the event – go to Spiritofbluesweeps.com to enter or purchase tickets for the show at Opry.com. The Grand Ole Opry will donate $5.00 to Spirit of Blue for every ticket purchased using the promo code “SAFETY”.

2014 statistics preliminarily released by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund show that 68 law enforcement officers have already lost their lives this year, an increase of 31% from the same period in the prior year. The reality of these statistics, and the increasing number of underfunded law enforcement agencies across the country, fuel the Spirit of Blue safety grant initiative.

The Spirit of Blue Foundation actively encourages the public at large to honor and appreciate law enforcement officers who serve to protect our communities. By supporting the Spirit of Blue Foundation, the public can make an impact in the lives of law enforcement officers every day.
