Aaron Tippin Wears His Patriotism Proudly

Aaron Tippin

As Aaron Tippin reflects this Memorial Day he remembers touring for the troops in the Gulf War. Tippin, says,

“Going to the Gulf was the most rewarding thing I’ve gotten to do so far.  I was so thankful for the chance to give a little back to the guys and gals over there defending our country.

There’s not much that can top that feeling. I was honored  when Bob Hope invited me to Saudi Arabia to entertain the troops.  Being in that part of the world made me realize what an honor it is to be an American.  This country is known as a friend to justice and human rights.  That’s a good reason to be proud.

Patriotism, is a badge I wear proudly and have carried with me throughout my career, a career where I sing about what I know about most — strong family ties and hard work.”

For the past 10 years Aaron has traveled overseas with the Stars For Stripes organization. Stars For Stripes is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality celebrity entertainment to internationally deployed U.S. military forces.

Aaron is the 1st country entertainer to travel with Bob Hope to the Persian Gulf to entertain our troops back in 1991. Tippin performed his famous song, “You’ve Got to Stand for Something.”

On this Memorial day holiday as we cook out and spend time with our friends and family let’s remember  those who have died in our nation’s service. Those men and women who Stand For Something very important everyday… our freedoms.
