About CMTT

CountryMusicTattleTale.com, or CMTT for short, is the result of a hobby turned…well…some may call an obsession.

At first, CMTT was just a way to share our love for Country Music with fellow fans. Over time, it grew into something more. Living in Nashville, there is no shortage of media covering events, but we did notice a shortage of one thing, people who actual enjoy country music covering events and artists. Who would have thought that music and artists being covered by people who actually listen to it would be a new angle?

CMTT strives to provide the latest news, reviews, and photos of country music related topics…Not just the gossip our name suggests. We also strive to give fans a place to comment; welcoming feedback, opinions and content from our readers….so BRING IT ON!!! In the end, we are all after the same thing…to spread the love of Country Music to as many folks as possible.

WHO ARE WE??

Jessica, AKA Country Girl:
I was born and raised in Ohio listening to an assortment of music. My parents influence was mostly rock induced; Alice Cooper, The Who, ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones. Country music very rarely came on the radio in our house but you better believe I knew every word to every Moody Blues song by the time I was five.

I moved to Tennessee in 1999 and country music stole my heart. The emotion in the lyrics and the rawness in the music made it hard for me to not run down to the honkey tonks on Broadway every weekend for a fix. Rascal Flatts may not have been my first country concert but once I saw them live I must say the bar was set pretty high. I make no secret of my love for those three. Their songs are the soundtrack of my life.

I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted Country Music Tattle Tale to be when we launched in September of 2008 but I am proud to say that it has far exceeded anything I could have written down on paper.  The people we have met and the opportunities we have been given are out of this world and I look forward to many more years to come.

Tanya, AKA Tawny Tucker:
I grew-up in Wisconsin listening to Garth, Alan, Ricky Van Shelton, and my name sake; Tanya Tucker. After moving to Tennessee and getting my journalism degree from MTSU I met Jessica and the rest is history. We bonded over our love of music and she welcomed me to CMTT with open arms. I love a good guitar riff so Keith Urban is my favorite…But I’ll listen to just about anything.

My two girls are taking after their mom and are often seen ‘shakin it’ to Luke Bryan or belting out their “best” to Taylor Swift.

Over all, I’m just a girl who enjoys country music in all its forms. But, I’m also a firm believer in giving fans a voice to agree and disagree with each other and share their opinions on the artists they helped give success. I may sometimes step on toes, but that’s definitely not my intention.

Meet Our CMTT Music Contributors

Kristi Olson

I am a music contributor from sunny California. Yes, California girls can be country, too! I enjoy sports and playing drums for the worship band at my church. I love music of all kinds, but my passion lies in country.

My five favorite female vocalists include Julie Roberts, Lee Ann Womack, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, and Loretta Lynn. I count Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Merle Haggard, and Johnny Cash as favorite male vocalists. I also has a love for duos and groups, especially Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Bomshel, and SHeDAISY.

I love hearing new music and introducing it to the fans to see what they have to say.

Paula Gayness, AKA Calamity Annie

I  have been involved in the music business for 30 years as a band manager, fan club owner and promoter and most recently a music contributor for the Country Music Tattle Tale online e-zine.  I have also worked with Whispering Bill Anderson of Grand Ole Opry fame for many years as his Ohio fan club representative.  I attend as many concerts as possible and keep current with changing trends and new artists within the industry.  I live in suburbia Ohio and also owned and traveled the rodeo circuit for several years throughout five surrounding states with my  rodeo store and barrel horse.  You can find me on Twitter, MySpace and Facebook as CalamityAnnie1.

Scott, AKA Scotty B:
I have lived in Wisconsin my whole live. It is unknown where my love for country music comes from since my mom listens to Rod Stewart, dad to U2, and my brothers rap. If you met me, you would think I had been raised listening to country music. I am an avid supporter of new artists (such as Laura Bell Bundy) as well as those that have been around since before I was born (which isn’t hard since I am only a senior in high school). My all time favorite country act is Sugarland; after all “there ain’t no party like a Sugarland party!” Thank you loyal readers for allowing me the joy of the best hobby ever! Feel free to join me on twitter – @stupidkid2150

Krissie Humphrey:
My name is Krissie Humphrey, and first and foremost I LOVE country music. There is nothing else like it in the world. It makes me smile everyday and is a big part of SO many of my memories. It is my passion! I was born in California and have lived there my whole life! My husband and I travel to Nashville often and we totally love Music City! I love going to the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman….so much history there! My favorite artist of ALL time is Vince Gill, he inspires me and I have been a fan of his since I was 11 or 12 years old! Other artists I like are Reba McEntire, Chris Young, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, and Patsy Cline. I love writing for CMTT, I love dogs, and I love conversation, especially about country music.

Amanda Wile:
I am originally from near Gettysburg, PA, moved to Nashville in 2005. I graduated from Vanderbilt in 2009, and completed my Master’s degree in Spanish through Middlebury College in Madrid, Spain, in 2011. I am now a bilingual sales rep for Verizon Wireless. In my free time, I play guitar, sing, and write songs. I love modern country music, as well as rock and pop. Follow me on Twitter at @vandymandy13 and you can find me always out at concerts, songwriter rounds, video shoots, and show tapings around Nashville!
