With the iconic skyline serving as her Music City backdrop, Kelsea Ballerini welcomed ABC’s Good Morning America to Nashville yesterday from the rooftop of local hot spot Acme Feed & Seed.
Nestled on the corner of Lower Broadway amid the famed honky tonks, fans swarmed the 4-tier venue for a glimpse of Ballerini firing up daybreak with “Roses” and the unabashed title anthem of her recently released sophomore album UNAPOLOGETICALLY. The set further brought the breathtaking cover art to life, as flowers cascaded down her microphone and decked the stage. Ballerini first announced UNAPOLOGETICALLY on GMA this past summer.
Ballerini and Spencer also revealed the winners of Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year – Brothers Osborne’s “It Ain’t My Fault” and “Funny How Time Slips Away” by Glen Campbell with Willie Nelson respectively – ahead of the 51st annual CMA Awards (airing live at 8/7c on ABC) tonight, where Ballerini will join Reba McEntire for a duet of her chart-rising single “Legends” before contending for Female Vocalist of the Year. On Monday (11/6), she was honored with the esteemed ASCAP Vanguard Award at the 55th annual ASCAP Country Music Awards followed by a surprise plaque presentation for CMT’s Impact Award Tuesday (11/7), during CMT’s Next Women of Country celebration.
The Country star is set to take her 12-track journey of loss, life, and love, on the road this winter, with tickets for THE Unapologetically’ TOUR (including VIP Packages) on-sale now. Unapologetically’ – produced by Forest Glen Whitehead and Jason Massey, in addition to Shane McAnally, Lindsay Rimes, and Jimmy Robbins on select tracks – is available everywhere.
