Breakout country sensation Kane Brown has achieved his first RIAA Platinum certification with the smash success of his single “What Ifs,” featuring Lauren Alaina. Currently Top 5 and climbing on the country airplay charts, the song this week jumps to #1 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart.
Co-written by Brown, Matthew McGinn, and Jordan Schmidt, “What Ifs” is from Brown’s chart-topping, self-titled RCA Nashville/Zone 4 album, helmed by 9-time ACM Award-winning producer/musician Dann Huff and Matthew McVaney.
This week, Brown was presented with a plaque commemorating the Platinum certification, and he celebrated the occasion with plaque presentations to his fellow songwriters, as well as song publishers Tree Vibez and Universal Music Publishing. See a highlight video of the presentations online HERE.
On October 6, country’s best-selling new-artist debut of the past two years adds four new Dann Huff-produced tracks for the release of Kane Brown Deluxe Edition . The 15-song collection features the full original album plus the four new songs, which include three Brown co-writes.
One of those co-writes, “Found You,” was released to digital music services on September 8 and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales chart. Fans who pre-order or pre-save Kane Brown Deluxe Edition will receive the track instantly HERE.
Among other appearances in advance of the upcoming release, Brown is currently on the road as a special guest on superstar Jason Aldean’s They Don’t Know Tour.
