Ryman Hospitality Properties partnered with country superstar Blake Shelton in a press conference last Friday to kick off the grand opening of Ole Red Tishomingo, a restaurant, bar and live music venue inspired by Opry member Blake Shelton’s hit song “Ol’ Red.” With funds raised from a private performance set for this evening at the venue, Shelton presented $32,000 to Carl Atteberry of J.C. Reaching Out, which provides financial assistance to family members of people battling cancer.
“What about the Oklahoma experience do you want people to have when they come here,” Shelton responded, “I think the most important thing for me – outside of just doing something for this particular community – was for people to get a feeling of warmth here. That’s one of the most important things about Oklahoma, the people here are good people.”
Shelton was joined in the press conference by Ryman Hospitality Properties Chief Marketing Officer John Behling and Ole Red Tishomingo’s General Manager Charles Haisler.
The grand opening celebration in Tishomingo builds upon the anticipation of a second location, Ole Red Nashville, a multi-level 26,000-square-foot entertainment venue in the heart of Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway, which is set to open in spring of 2018.
Ole Red is a lifestyle and entertainment brand inspired by Blake Shelton’s clever, irreverent third-chart hit, “Ol’ Red.” You can find Ole Red entertainment venues and products in two locations in the United States by 2018, the flagship multi-story bar, restaurant and entertainment venue in the heart of downtown Nashville’s famed Lower Broadway, and the very first location in Blake’s hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Ole Red is owned and operated by Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. as part of its Opry Entertainment division. For additional information about Ole Red, visit us online at olered.com
