Blaze and the Monster Machines’ animal adventures continue in an all-new “Wild Wheels” special featuring Darius Rucker as the voice of a tough-talking falcon-truck named Thunderwing. Premiering TODAY at 12 p.m. (ET/PT), the third “Wild Wheels” special showcases Blaze and friends as they transform into animal-trucks and meet new friends on Animal Island, an incredible place where everyone is a talking monster truck animal. Blaze and the Monster Machines follows the adventures of the amazing monster truck Blaze and his eight-year-old driver AJ, and it’s the first preschool show on TV to comprehensively cover all areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) in every episode.
In the Blaze and the Monster Machines episode, “Falcon Quest,” a remarkable race is about to begin in the sky above Animal Island. Challenged by a tough‐talking falcon-truck named Thunderwing (Rucker), Blaze takes off on an aerial journey to earn his place with the fastest fliers.
Additionally, preschoolers can go on the ultimate journey with Blaze in the brand-new curriculum-driven app, Blaze Obstacle Course Challenge, available now on the App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore for Android. In Blaze Obstacle Course Challenge, gamers must help Blaze navigate the land, sea and sky to avoid Crusher’s various contraptions while collecting flags and earning trophies. The app features two thrilling gameplay options allowing preschoolers to choose their own adventure. In Jungle Trek, users can explore multiple STEM concepts including magnetism, trajectory and acceleration; experiment with eight different animal transformations and engage with 20 different courses. In Transformation Dash, players can select their favorite Blaze transformation and attempt to run a course without crashing into obstacles, earn super power-ups and learn about various machine and animal attributes.
Blaze Obstacle Course Challenge is the third app inspired by the hit STEM preschool series, Blaze and the Monster Machines, and Nickelodeon’s latest offering of curriculum-driven preschool apps. To date, Nickelodeon has launched more than 30 preschool apps including top-performing titles like PAW Patrol Rescue Run (problem-solving and social skills), Blaze and the Monster Machines (STEM), Team Umizoomi (math), Bubble Guppies Animal School Day (science) and the award-winning Nick Jr. Draw and Play (creativity and imagination).
In Blaze and the Monster Machines, the amazing monster truck Blaze and his eight-year-old driver AJ have adventures that explore the physics of how things move; tackle problems through scientific inquiry and mathematics; and discover the parts needed to make everyday technologies work. Each action-packed episode is filled with monster trucks, physical humor and upbeat original songs with lyrics that highlight a STEM concept such as adhesion, friction, force, trajectory and magnetism.
