On Saturday’s episode of T’s Coffee Talk, Trisha Yearwood and husband Garth Brooks went live from Oklahoma City, OK where they had wrapped back-to-back shows the night before and were preparing for another day of double headers. The duo expressed their true appreciation for their loyal, hometown fans that stuck with them to the end of the second show at 3:30 am. Trisha felt extremely overwhelmed to be performing in front of a crowd that included some of their closest family and friends, and even shared that it was the most nervous they had been since opening night. Garth added that he recognized an old next-door neighbor in the audience that he hadn’t seen in over 37 years!
The duo also told viewers about their experience at Habitat for Humanity in Edmonton the past weekend where they had the opportunity to work alongside the Carters. Trisha explained that the Carters were such a true example to live by for so many reasons. She also finally mastered power tools on this trip and was able to build a staircase, ramps, and complete part of the siding.
Trisha was excited to announce that she’ll be in Manhattan Beach next weekend for a Williams Sonoma book signing. The event will celebrate her Williams Sonoma food collaboration and season 10 of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, premiering August 19th on Food Network.
With sound check being minutes away, Trisha and Garth wrapped the Facebook Live chat and reminded everyone to tune in to today’s episode of Trisha’s Southern Kitchen. The episode shows Trisha and her sister Beth going head-to-head at their version of “Chopped”. Beth creates a mystery basket of ingredients for Trisha, who then uses those ingredients to create an appetizer, main course and dessert for Beth to judge. Her dishes include a White Wine Spritzer with Watermelon and Basil, Wild Rice and Mushroom Soup, Beef and Vegetable Stir Fryand Bread Pudding with Fruit Sauce.
