CMT Offers Free Events and Entertainment Leading Up to CMT Awards

Leading up to the CMT Awards, CMT is offering a TON of free events and entertainment for fans. Check out the schedule below!

TUESDAY, JUNE 6

Noon-5 p.m. CMT SUMMER OF MUSIC EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY BAR-S
Location: Bridgestone Plaza – 5th and Broadway

CMT and Bar-S are teaming up to bring fans a two-day block party from the heart of downtown Nashville featuring six of country music’s hottest emerging artists, fan meet and greets and of course, Bar-S food leading up to the CMT Music Awards. Event is hosted by Ashley Eicher, with performances by Michael Tyler, Jillian Jacqueline and Jacob Davis. Event is open and free to the public.

In addition, fans can check out Firestone’s massive BIGFOOT 4×4 monster truck.

Performances are as follows:
• 1-1:30 p.m. Michael Tyler
• 2:15-2:45 p.m. Jillian Jacqueline
• 3:45-4:15 p.m. Jacob Davis

8:30 p.m. CMT CROSSROADS taping with Earth, Wind & Fire And Friends
Location: 5th & Demonbreun (outdoor stage) – fans are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 p.m. First-come, first-served, standing room only.

The first-ever outdoor “CMT Crossroads” event features Grammy-Award winners Earth, Wind & Fire and friends including Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Dan + Shay, Drake White, and Sara Evans.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7

6-9 a.m. DAYBREAKER
Location: Schermerhorn Symphony Center

CMT is partnering with culture-creators Daybreaker to launch in the Nashville market and reinvent mornings for Music City. Join us at the first-ever Daybreaker in Nashville on the morning of the CMT Music Awards. The morning will be filled with surprise guests and performances, beginning with Yoga at 6 a.m. and followed by a dance party with DJ Alyx Ander from 7-9 a.m. Event is free and open to the public. • 12:15-12:45 p.m. Seth Ennis
• 1:45-2:15 p.m. Carly Pearce
• 3:45-4:15 p.m. Runaway June

6-10 p.m. CMT MUSIC AWARDS – OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES
Location: Outdoor stage 5th Avenue (between Demonbreun and Korean Veteran’s Blvd)

Fans still have a chance to be part of the CMT MUSIC AWARDS Wednesday night. Since tickets to the show at Music City Center were unavailable to purchase, fans can come be part of the show and be in the audience for two of the evening’s biggest performances on the outdoor stage. Kelsea Ballerini will debut a new song, while Brothers Osborne will perform with rock icon Peter Frampton.

There will also be a viewing party of the entire live show on an outdoor screen. Fans are asked to arrive by 6 p.m. for show at 7 p.m. with live performances in the 7 and 9 p.m. hours.

6-11 p.m. KINGSFORD COUNTRY COOKOUT
Location: Martin’s BBQ downtown Nashville – 410 4th Avenue South

The Kingsford Country Cookout is THE official CMT Music Awards viewing party, and the best place in Nashville to watch the show. We’ll also be serving some amazing BBQ, along with grilling tips and recipes followed by two live musical performances you don’t want to miss. Special guests include grill master Greg Mrvich from “Ballistic BBQ,” event host Jess Pryles (aka the “Hardcore Carnivore”), after part host Amy Brown of Bobby Bones Show and Nashchat, along with singer/songwriters Charlie Worsham and Maggie Rose. Event is free and open to the public.

• 6-7 p.m. Grilling demonstration, food service begins
• 7-9:30 p.m. CMT Music Awards viewing party
• 9:30-11 p.m. CMT Music Awards fan after-part with performances by Charlie Worsham and Maggie Rose
