On last night’s “Inside Studio G: A Monday Night Conversation,” Garth Brooks debuted a never-before-seen video for his hit song “We Shall Be Free.” The video, which was created in celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the single, features powerful messages of love and inclusion from leaders in entertainment, politics, and sports including Al Gore, Colin Powell, Whoopi Goldberg, John Travolta, Dakota Fanning, Michael J. Fox, Forest Whitaker, Jay Leno, Marlee Matlin, Sean Connery, Placido Domingo, Alex Rodriguez, and more.
“Inside Studio G” airs on Garth’s Facebook Page every Monday at 7:00pm ET / 4:00pm PT. The episode was also simulcast on Garth’s SiriusXM Channel (Channel 55), which is curated by Garth himself and features songs from throughout his career, and much more.
Brooks decided to release the unseen video in response to the overwhelming resurgence of popularity for the song, which spreads messages of hope and acceptance across all races, genders, religions, and sexual orientations. He asks fans to submit their own words and messages of love on social media using the hashtag #WeShallBeFree.
