Big Machine Music (BMM) proudly announces today the signing of GRAMMY nominated songwriter, Jessie Jo Dillon to an exclusive co-publishing agreement. Known for her uniquely evocative lyrics and hit song sensibilities, Jessie Jo officially joins BMM’s wildly talented roster, which includes Jonathan Singleton, Laura Veltz and Josh Thompson, among others.
Country music superstars George Strait, LeAnn Rimes, Luke Bryan, Jennifer Nettles and more, have all recorded Jessie Jo’s songs. In 2011, she earned a GRAMMY® nomination in the Best Country Song category for her first-ever cut, Strait’s “The Breath You Take.” She co-penned the song with Casey Beathard and her father, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, Dean Dillon.
“While Jessie Jo has felt like family to our team for a long time, we are honored that she chose us to represent her and her songs,” said BMM’s VP/GM Publishing Mike Molinar. “She is a special songwriter who has a magical ability to craft a song that resonates with everyone.”
“I am over the moon to be joining the Big Machine Music tribe alongside some of my favorite songwriters and publishers,” said Jessie Jo. “Mike and the Big Machine Music team have always been big believers in me and my writing so this really feels like coming home.”
Most recently, Jessie Jo co-wrote multiple songs with both Brandy Clark and Maren Morris for their GRAMMY® nominated albums BIG DAY IN A SMALL TOWN and HERO, respectively. She penned “Girl Next Door,” “Daughter” and “You Can Come Over” with Clark as well as “Rich” with Morris, which was named to several prominent 2016 Best of lists: NPR Top 100 Songs of 2016, Rolling Stone Country Top 25 Songs of 2016 and One Country 9 Best Country Music Lyrics of 2016.
