Little Big Town have just announced the release of their seventh studio album, ‘The Breaker’, available in stores February 24th.
‘The Breaker¹ is about letting go of things that break you, it¹s about the new ground you try and break as a human being and as a musician. Sometimes you¹re the one that¹s broken and sometimes you¹re the breaker,² said Little Big Town¹s Karen Fairchild. ³It¹s a sentimental record because we¹re feeling super grateful for our friends and family and the chance to share the next chapter.²
The album, produced by Jay Joyce, features lead single, ‘Better Man’, written by Taylor Swift, which hit #1 on US iTunes and Top 20 on iTunes Australia over the weekend and has over 2.5 million streams globally. Taylor Swift told fans how honored she was to have written the song and wished them luck at the CMA Awards last week, where the band went onto perform the song and collect a CMA Award for Best Pop Vocal Group.
The video for ‘Better Man’, directed by Becky Fluke and Reid Long, has had over 2 million views in 5 days.
Little Big Town have also announced ‘Little Big Town at the Mother Church¹, the first ever residency at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, will kick-off on album release day February 24, before the band head down for their debut Australian visit to perform at CMC Rocks Festival March 24 – 26, 2017.
With the launch of ‘The Breaker¹ including ‘Better Man¹, alongside their massive career defining hit ‘Girl Crush¹ having won Country Song of the Year at the GRAMMY and CMA Awards, Little Big Town will blow Australian audiences away come March with their hit laden repertoire and fantastic live show.
