The first excerpts from “This Life I Live: One Man’s Extraordinary, Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever” (ISBN# 9780718090197, hardcover, thislifeilivebook.com), written by songwriter and blogger Rory Feek, are now available. Rory shared one excerpt on his blog, This Life I Live, and offered a link to three additional chapters to officially kickoff pre-orders. The book will be released on February 14, 2017, through W Publishing, an imprint of Thomas Nelson.
“The Right Left Hand,” continues to tell the story Joey said only Rory could write. His story. Her story. A love story. Rory shared the excerpt this morning on This Life I Live, recalling when Rory realized Joey was the right woman for him. The first three chapters, “Famous for Love,” “Stronger,” and “The Middle of Nowhere,” are also available through the book’s website.
“There are hundreds of stories in the book like the one above about the ring. Stories where I am amazed by Joey. Or amazed by God. Or both. Stories about my mother’s strength and my father’s weakness and how both of those things are inside of me now. All part of a bigger story about the man that I was, and the man Joey married and also the man that I’m learning to become,” Rory said in his blog post.
Fans initially got to know Rory Feek and his wife Joey, as critically acclaimed country music duo Joey+Rory. Rory’s blog captured the attention of a global audience that followed the couple’s love story as they took a break from touring, welcomed their daughter Indiana and Joey fought cancer.
Rory, also a filmmaker, recently compiled and edited To Joey, With Love: A Story of Life, Love & Hope That Never Dies, a full-length documentary chronicling the couple’s story. The special event presented by Provident Films and Fathom Events has added an additional encore showing scheduled for TONIGHT, October 17 due to demand.
