Zac Brown Band just announced a CrowdRise Experience to support the USO in honor of the band’s upcoming private performance at the 2016 USO Gala. Fans can visit their CrowdRise campaign at www.crowdrise.com/USOGala and donate for a chance to win a trip to Washington, D.C., to attend the 2016 USO Gala on October 20, 2016, and see Zac Brown Band perform live.
For 75 years, the USO has been a leading military support nonprofit, serving the men and women in uniform and their families, throughout their service. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side. The USO Gala is an annual, star-studded awards dinner recognizing service members from each military service, the National Guard and Coast Guard, for their heroism.
Strong supporters of America’s men and women in uniform, Zac Brown first volunteered with the USO in 2008. Following that experience, he linked up with his band and went back out on two more USO tours – the Fort Hood Community Strong event in 2009, followed by a USO tour to Iraq and Kuwait the following year, where they filmed their music video “Free.” Together, Brown and Zac Brown Band have participated in three USO tours and entertained more than 31,000 service members stationed in eight countries.
The fundraiser launched on CrowdRise on September 14. Every $10 donated is one entry to win two tickets to see Zac Brown Band perform live at the 2016 USO Gala on October 20, 2016, in Washington, D.C. Prize includes round-trip airfare and accommodations. For official rules click here.
